I watched this a while ago and liked it. But after spending two years trying to improve my longboarding technique on an 8’11 single fin hulled out Gato Surfar and made some progress. I know see this film in a new light. Revelatory. Truly beautiful longboard surfing. Iconic. What style man waaah fuck. I could watch this everyday and not get bored of it. Awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥

This board will surprise you from a performance perspective. I got it out on the last swell here in north county, the surf was head high with some power and this thing was on point. Think big hacks and full roundhouse cut backs, it’s fast and maneuverable. I love this thing and stoked to have it in the quiver!

I don't really get the thunderbolt silver thing... So, they make it heavier to feel like a PU board... Why not get a PU board then? Thunderbolt boards are not that durable. I've seen many split into 2, and they get heel marks all over. Why is it better than PU?

Just tried it in 2-3ft east coast offshore beach breaks with a 10" FDOC Involvement fin. Paddles fast, gets into waves early and even with late drops, the tail is narrow enough to quickly make it up the face and get into trim. Cross stepping was super stable and noserides with ease in the right sections. This one's a keeper, it looks amazing, rails are pinched so it's easy to carry and doesn't catch when slashing. Weight around 17lbs. The pointy nose not only looks cool but allows for later drops and punches through the break like a needle. I've tried gliders and even if this is a hybrid between a Log/Glider/Cruiser, the blend results in an enjoyable experience where the board does a lot of the work for you. Like on most of CJ's boards, the subtle step deck in the tail and nose just add such a nice dimension to the riding experience.

I love the concept of this board and look forward to one being available in a local shop. I can relate to CJ’s comment about injuring himself when installing fins. FCS2 are the worst for this. Ill conceived design trying to compete with the stronger and simpler single tab system. Please build your boards with futures fins. Not a deal breaker but close.

G/day mate what are the dimensions & are they available in Oz? Love the Greenough fin & the Slasher low pro vid. I started on a Peter Clarke V bottom with razor rails back last century.

"I've never cared what anybody thought. Good is good." This sentiment is key to breaking out of patterns that can keep us stuck and not cooperating with the evolution of anything, not just surfing.
