That’s beautiful!
You have summoned the Fungi fairy!
Love how you film in your car. 🚘 good information too. Lovely video! Marion & Jan 😁👍🏼
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow! What a lovely video! Your banter was interesting, engaging & relaxed. Filming in your car really worked. Great job!! You are both excellent!! Thank you! 😁👍🏼Marion & Jan
Thank you so much for the feedback!☺️
I will definetly need some tax advice! We are planning on renting out our cabin/house, and looking at ways to get a vehicle up there that stays. Some other way other than UA-cam comments would be good!
Shoot us an email at truenorthtimes4@gmail.com! We look forward to visiting with y’all!😊
@@truenorthtimes4 email sent! Thank you
Yeah, I would be interested in staying in contact with you all. My wife and brother-in-law will be driving up next May to get stuff ready for the rest of us, and finish up on the house. I will be trying to plan the trip for them, so any hints, tips, and advice would be greatly appreciated. Coming from Colorado. My name is Eric, and I am retired USAF, my daughters were born in Alaska.
Would be happy to help y’all plan the Canada trip. We very much enjoyed our time there, and are crazily considering another drive up next year…also with a vehicle we can keep in Alaska. 😆
We killed it at Centennial this year! And, yeah, we keep the bellies! Some big fish this year
Agreed- some big ones came up for sure! Will y’all be fishing for pinks or silvers?
@@truenorthtimes4 We took our Granddaughter to Hope for the pinks and she had a blast. We are back in Colorado now, but having a house built off funny river road that will be completed by next year!
We haven’t made it to Hope yet. Do you recommend it as a day trip, even without fishing? Memories made with kiddos/grandkiddos are sure the best! How exciting you’ll have a home to look forward to next year. 😊
@@truenorthtimes4 Hope is the best little town for a day visit! Fishing for Pinks and Silvers should be really good now, and they have some really neat stuff to see and do for a very small town! Go on the days the little bar and gift shop are open, can't remember what days of the week they are open, but it isn't everyday.
Thanks for the idea! We will definitely add that to our list of places to see. We are headed to Girdwood this weekend for the Blueberry Festival. 🫐
So much fun! Love seeing first timers fish the Kenai! We had so much fun this year too!
Glad y’all had a great season! We couldn’t believe how early they came up…and those numbers. WOW!!🤩
@@truenorthtimes4 It didn't take our crew long to limit out each day, was so much fun, and yeah the numbers were amazing!
Hope to see y’all on the river next year. We have already made plans to come up and stay the whole summer. May can’t come quickly enough. ☺️
@@truenorthtimes4 That would be awesome! We plan to stay longer each summer, especially with our own place! We lived there from 1990-2000 and go back every year!
This is our fifth trip to Alaska; and every time we stay a little longer. Looking at residency because none of us want to leave this time. 🤣
You toss that belly away?😳
Afraid so. 😂
There’s nothing like a day of snagging on the Kenai! Although I must say that is an awful filleting technique. It looks like you don’t harvest the belly. They’re fantastic on the smoker. At a minimum they’re excellent (and free) dog food. And NEVER use the “swipe across the backbone” method of filleting. If you look at the video, you’ll see A LOT of meat left behind along the backbone. You left about 20% of the meat on the carcass by filleting like that. Why bother going after them if you’re just going to waste so much meat?
Thanks for your helpful feedback! We couldn’t agree more; the Kenai is magnificent!
We had a blast with y’all!! ❤️
Can’t wait to do it again!☺️
Oh my gosh..... I was laughing so hard. I loved her enthusiasm ❤
She was an absolute hoot! And now she’s hooked on fishing!🤣
We are laughing our butts off watching that enthusiasm!
She made my day; I’ve never laughed so much while fishing!😆
Looks like a super awesome trip!!!
Highly recommend making a day at Seward!😊
Good to see my sister and husband having good fishing results. Love Luanne
We so enjoyed our time with them!😊
Yes time to get rid of the trigger locks and lock and load
Yesss! Chris was so glad to be back in the states!😂
Jake, your aunt Luanne enjoyed watching you fish! Aloha from Maui.
Thanks for watching! We had a blast and hope he comes back to see us soon!😊
Well Aloha from Iowa!
Now we’re talking!! My friends want to start a firearms training business, but we’re a group of unorganized bozos…. Hobby into business and LLC guidance FTW
I’m so glad you found some of our content to be helpful!
So neat to learn about the airport
It has such incredible historical significance! We learned so much. 😊
The house at the end by the lake was a perfect and to the day.
It truly was! We hope to go back for a visit one day. If you wind up needing a place to stay on your travels through the Watson Lake area, we highly recommend it!
Looked like an amazing time. I'm so glad Jake did so well.
We have had a blast with him, and are sorry to send him home today!
Jake 🤣🤣🤣
Baiting bears is illegal and on top you taught your grandson to kill a female. This isn't real hunting this is cheating.
Baiting bears is not illegal and you apparently don’t know the law. It’s very difficult to tell males from females and a bear that size will often eat a dozen moose calves in a year. Wildlife management is about harvesting animals to balance populations. Baiting is better because it allows you to see whether a female has babies in tow…you can avoid harvesting a female with cubs in this way.
Some could say that horse training is inhumane not to mention classist...
Baiting bears has never been illegal.
It’s 2024 and this lady is going around assuming bears’ gender without checking for its proper pronouns first. That just takes her ignorance level over 100…
Glad you found a neat campground with rental campers. The road conditions are one of our concerns. We will be in a Class A motorhome and only planning to travel a few hundred miles a day. Taking it nice and slow and enjoy the journey.
Going slowly is key! When do y’all leave? And from what part of the states?
How far to the bait?
About 40 yards on Day 2…around 75 yards on Day 1.
Lov3d all the bear sightings
We really enjoyed those too! We have now transitioned to daily moose sightings. 🤣
The drive through Jasper and Banuf was so beautiful.
Yes, it has been one of my favorite parts of our trip so far! Unfortunately, we couldn’t stop off in either park due to transporting a shotgun with us through Canada. So I would really like to go back sometime and explore!😊
Great info on transporting the firearms. Did not know about the national parks and firearms.
Happy to help!
We have not been to Montana. So hope to make it there some day. We thought about going to Deadwood, but just did not have enough time on our trip out there.
There are so many wonderful things to see in MT! I think we will put together a video of our top places there soon!
Is that Morgan's landing?
I’m looking into that for you!😊
We just got home not too long ago from staying in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We are hoping to head for Alaska in a few years and been watching different channels for their adventures. Will be nice to see how your trip goes and the ideas it may generate for us.
South Dakota is a favorite of ours for many reasons. The people, scenery, and no state income tax are all a plus for us. 😉 If you have any questions we can answer as you plan your trip through Canada, please let us know. We would love to help in any way possible!😊
You should’ve screamed at the CBP guy and asked him if you were be detained lol
But my goal was to GET OUT of Canada, remember?!😂
Fidel junior taxes their gas pretty heavy.
That is certainly the truth!
Why? Because its insanily fun!!! We would love to do it again! We took our truck and camper and saw amazing things!!!
We completely agree! We will definitely do it again. What route did y’all take and what was your favorite place to see along the way?😊
You guys are just the cutest. I'm really enjoying these videos..... very jealous, lol
Thank you so much for following along! I highly recommend a trip to Canada and/or Alaska! And then you won’t have to be jealous anymore. 😂
Tell me how to avoid taxes!!!🤑 lol
I think we can do that! Anything specific you’d like addressed?😊
The view at the end..... ❤❤❤❤
Seriously- one of the most beautiful places I have EVER seen in my life. It was hard to leave yesterday.
My favorite Aunt and Uncle… “The lower 48 is TOO HOT in the summer.” But also… “Anything north of Interstate 40 is TOO COLD in the winter!” Thanks for sharing your journey as you go!
When you can chase the good weather all year long, why not do it?!😂
@@truenorthtimes4 ok fair enough
I think overall groceries were nheaper in Canada.
For the most part, we have been pleasantly surprised with grocery prices…one thing I did notice was that a small bag of grapes cost around $12 CAD. That was definitely more expensive than we are used to. 😂
I am just loving the videos. Safe travels 😘
Thank you so much for checking them out! We will be uploading video of our drive through Banff and Jasper National Parks soon…which included several bear sightings. 😂
Cool video, we just spent last week near Banff park.
Nice! We are going through Banff tomorrow! Did y’all drive?
We flew to Calgary and rented a car. The exchange in Canada is good right now.
Anything else up this way that y’all recommend seeing? How about good lodging options in Calgary?
@@truenorthtimes4 we did not stay there. We rented an Airbnb in Canmore. We did stay one night at the Faimont on Lake Louise.
It sounds like y’all had an amazing trip!
Went there in 1998. Neat
It’s definitely one of Cody, Wyoming’s many wonderful offerings!😊
Idk if little kids should be walking around a bunch of rusty old aircraft. But whatever
Thanks for your concern! The planes are made out of aluminum and not steel, so they don’t rust. We had an amazing time out at the boneyard!
I’d like to talk to Chris about his brown bear hunt in Alaska. Anyway to contact you better other than the comment section on here? Thanks.
Thanks for reaching out. He would love to chat more about his bear hunt with you. Feel free to drop an email to: truenorthtimes4@gmail.com
Great way to move the bear. Which device is this? Thanks a lot!

Awesome video. That narrator’s voice is soothing. Really does something for me.
We fly into melbourne, so we will be exploring the southern part of the country on this trip!
Awesome video
Thanks man, we need to go do this sometime together.
Should rename = Brown Bear wake and funeral...
Maybe, we are just trying to get better and didn't have enough video.
Gorgeous bear, well done and memories for life. That is an interesting pulley he used, I’ve used the Lewis winch with chainsaw, never seen that particular device.
Thank you, it was a great experience.
Where’s the hunt?
I used RWS guide service, and highly recommend him!
