Donating My Marmoset Monkey to the Monkey Haven in the Isle of Wight!
So if you've seen any of the previous videos, you'd know that we picked up a marmoset monkey with the plan to either build an amazing monkey enclosure or rehouse him somewhere where he can be a proper monkey.
Luckily we found the Monkey Haven in the Isle of Wight who rescue all kinds of primates & exotic animals so this is us taking him there.
You can visit them if you want to see Gizmo in person. :)

9 Reasons why Monkey's are AWFUL PETS! - My Experience
Переглядів 81 тис.4 роки тому
So if you didn't see the story of us collecting this guy, he's a common marmoset which is legal to own in the UK unfortunately. It was a bit of a rescue mission & we've had him about 6 weeks now. I thought that monkey's didn't make great pets beforehand but after my experience with them I wouldn't recommend them for anyone. I'm super excited to see this guy go to the Monkey Haven in the Isle of...
Collecting a Common Marmoset Monkey! - Very Exciting!
Переглядів 7314 роки тому
So I saw a post online from someone that needed to rehome a common marmoset monkey so thought we might be able to help out. He seems to be doing well so far although we'll likely be trying to get him to go to a proper facility where he can spend time with other monkeys and do proper monkey stuff. Subscribe to stay updated on how he gets on! :)

How to Care for Betta FIsh (Siamese Fighting Fish) for Beginners
Thank you for rescuing him and loving him enough to send him to a zoo to be with his own kind.
He is right. A monkey is not a pet. A monkey is FAMILY that will be as difficult as a child. You have no KNOW what you're getting into. So keep watching videos and reading up on it!
Does he poop and pees every where
You are kind for taking him in. ❤
I hope you don't ever want kids.
So a balanced diet, social interaction, outside time and his own room. So he needs less care than a child....... which people have everyday. I think I can handle that.
Yeah... no thanks.
are they good tasting?
Awful this video is awful all you're doing is mumbling about giving no reasons as to why monkeys are awful pets
He’s trying to get sap out off everything bite bite bite he’s natural diet
Monkeys will ... Engage in self romance anytime anywhere
I know you have to discipline them if they show aggression to people .. And U have to do this at a young age... If you dont they will take it and RUN
The reason for the aggression is he's lonely....Monkeys never do well alone...any breed is used to companionship and will grow aggressive and go insane due to the lack of a friend. Look it up.
Not just that but they get aggressive because like most primates they have a social structure with one being the alpha and so on down the line. So they have to fight to establish their place in the pecking order
3:07 "can you stop" oh please... Dude you have NO BUSINESS owning a monkey much less giving advice when you can not even control your own monkey properly . You DO NOT ask them to stop in that weak, effeminate voice you have. Primates are controlled by dominant leaders. YOU ARE NEITHER. These animals set hierarchy and whom to listen to by who is the most dominate and controlling. You should NEVER let bite you and get away with it without a physical act of holding it down or thumping it on the face IN ADDITION to a strong, MASCULINE voice.
When I was kid neighbors had 4 smaller ones. They keep 2 in a cage while 2 ran free and they reverse it everyday. As kids we teased the couple in cage. Male and female. One day the 2 we teased were out of cage. The female jumped and landed on chair arm. I went to scratch her back she let out a scream and here come the male flying across room and landed right on my shoulder with paws full of my hair. I'm trying to get it off, owners all laughing hard as they could and had this small child scared to death. He drew blood on my knuckle when I was trying get him off me. That was over 50 years ago
I’m peruvian and my family from peru has many exotic animals. From monkeys, reptiles, birds from the amazon jungle. We typically always get more than one monkey. It is better to get them in pairs as they learn from each other. It’s better in the long run especially if you want your monkeys to be socialized. They are not aggressive or tend not to be if they have another monkey with them. Monkeys are highly social animals and they need to be kept in pairs. I would suggest getting another one.
I wouldn't have a chimp as a pet because that would be more worse to handle, but what about those baby monkeys where you have to take care of them like actual babies? Honestly I would raise a baby monkey because it's like a child you have to care for. ❤🥰
They are NOT little humans! They all grow up, and have the same problems. Putting them in human clothes and walking upright isn't normal for them! (nor natural) And what happens when it grows up? Are you still going to put up with him? Monkeys are NOT pets!
If you want a child, then get a child! Monkeys are NOT children!
@@Robbie-sk6vc No not baby chimps, those little ones that stay little forever.
@@Robbie-sk6vc First off I'm 16 I can't adopt yet till 18, and I would like to have those little monkeys as a pet, I'm not talking about the big chimps I'm talking about the littler monkeys that stay little forever, even though they grow up. And those ones that have to have "baby like" essentials, for using the bathroom and all that type of stuff, and I just think it's cute when they're all dressed up in a little shirt. Like I see videos on how they take care of them. Also I can do whatever, I don't need somebody telling me that I should go get this, instead of getting what I actually want to have. And I had some friends that were my age, that took care of pets like the littler baby monkey one's.
Wow you have the same name as my brother mark freeman!
Marmosets smell other larger breeds don’t
Sweet mother of God !!! I really wanted to watch this video for the info within...and i did watch it until the end...but sweet Jesus the narrator ..his distraction..his "umms" and "ahhhs " and his flat mundane monotone made it all i could endure to finish watching. If you are going to post an informative video...for the love of God do some preparation or get someone else to narrate so that your viewers do not lose patience and switch off. HOWEVER..I did make it throygh the entire clip and it was informative so I guess his goal was accomplished. Thank you for posting..there was some good info in the clip. I am curious if after it goes to its new home and undergoes castration, if the procedure might not make him less aggresive ?.
Experts don't not recommend to have such species of monkeys, they are not solitary and need same species company. Having 2 of them would be ok but would need to be mostly outside. You are making the correct decision taking him/her to the Zoo.
I have monkeys they are great pets. Anyone saying they are not they don’t know how to take care of an animal and shouldn’t have a monkey.
He's so docile. Was he abused? Most channels i follow the Monkey are full on ADHD mode. He's so cute. I want a Monkey but wouldn't be a good fit for the type of life they deserve.
Good video! One important thing you left out is the changing of diapers. I heard it could be several times a day. Id never want to do such. Also I'm in the USA and vets charge enormous prices.I agree they should be left with their mom's in the wild.
Cat-squirrel-monkey-trash panda.
I’m an exotic and wildlife veterinarian who has a nonhuman primate as a furry family member. I can appreciate ALL reluctance to have any exotic pet or even a human child because it’s NOT for everyone. This owners experience is a cautionary tale and not the average.
dont leave your game disks out of the case
I would of bought him
“They need a specialist diet!” … consisting of human knees, Tommy Hilfiger sweat pants, computer chairs etc 🤣🤣🤣
This monkey is huge!
And your funny! You don't know much about monkeys I guess? That's a small kind.
You said herpes omg
Good you are giving him to a zoo. Wildlife are no pets. So so sad for all the trafficked animals 😓
I don't understand a word you are saying because the sound is bad.
Where do you actually get them from then if you’re in the UK?
I thought about getting a pet marmoset. Took about an hour of research on to figure out how bad an idea It is for about 98% of people including my self to own one. DON'T,JUST, DON'T
Would love to have him
To quote John McEnroe,.’you cannot be serious,’
I’ll take him in a heartbeat love him 😢😢😢
Get tree branches for him to chew on. Its the stuff under the bark they eat. Find out what kind of trees.
Hes biting your pants cause he thinks its tree bark.
Ah ha ha it doesn't want to be with you
Poor endangered animal if you really cared about it you would give it to a rescue center where they will find a troop for it but no
Did you watch the video? That's what the entire video was about. A zoo took the monkey in.
That face!!!! ❤🥰
Knuckles: what's the worst that can happen See no consequences
Monkey World took him? Or Monkey Haven?
U have got to keep your hand on it the hole time that's crazy u never stopped looking or touching it wow yea that's your life hell no !!
This monkey clearly has fleas
He's chewing and biting because they eat tree sap, that's what he's searching for
Marmor+sett=marmosett. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha 🐒
I want baby pigtail
It's illegal. Why? Endangered species. Also, as they become adults, the cuteness goes. They sexually mature. Never can be "potty trained". Don't buy into the BS. You can adopt from a shelter. They have more than cats and dogs.
"Dont get a Monkey" from guy who has Monkey.
