We all know Megastar Sharon Cuneta - jukebox princess, box office queen, and doting mother.
Sharon rose to fame as a 12-year-old aspiring singer with the hit “Mr. DJ” written by Rey Valera. This marked her entry to the Philippine charts back in 1978.
By 1981, she ventured into acting, with her first feature film “Dear Heart.” Her first leading man? None other than 1980’s heartthrob Gabby Concepcion.
Gabby Concepcion became famous at the young age of 15 as the ‘Close-up boy’ due to his popular commercial.
With “Dear Heart” being a commercial success, the ShaGab love team was born.
Sequels of the movie were made then - “P.S. I Love You” in 1981 and “My Only Love” in 1982. They also did “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin” in 1984. They starred in many other movies until their last movie in 1992, “Tayong Dalawa.”
By September of 1984, the reel love turned real when Sharon and Gabby married, months after Sharon just turned 18. The two have a daughter, KC Concepcion.
However, the marriage was short-lived and they separated in 1987. Their marriage annulled in 1993.
Sharon is now happily married to Senator Kiko Pangilinan. They have two daughters, Frankie and Miel, and an adopted son, Miguel.
Now, it looks like ShaGab fans are in for an early Valentine’s day treat.
Sharon and Gabby just reunited for a commercial of a fastfood chain.
