These cars are awesome. GM beat Honda to the DOHC performance 4 cylinder game and then by 1999 were laughably outdone by nearly every JDM competitor. These N-Body cars are great. They're a little long, very narrow, excellent cornering. Good power from the W41 Quad4 although they are a bit temperamental. Plus, the Achieva SCX just nailed the styling. It's reserved, simple, and clean. It looks like a generic sports car in the best way. The Skylark of the same vintage is pretty much the opposite with that gaudy beak and sweeping trim lines down the side. The Grand Am was just too awkward in this generation, made better but more "boy racer" by the next gen. The 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP Coupe with the 6 speed manual is the modern equivalent of this car. In fact, its even more rare by total production numbers.

I had one! I put a Grant GT steering wheel on mine too!(Different model). Mine had the automatic transmission w/Powershift. The previous owner swapped out factory door speakers with Pioneer 6". I replaced the factory tape deck with a Pioneer removable face-plate CD player and added a Coustic 25W amp with MTX Terminator speakers...The engine turned out to be junk, but damn that was a fun truck!!!

I had a 1987 Legend just like this one, sold it in 1995 for a 1996 Dodge Caravan. Not many videos on the Legend compared to Chrysler M-body Gran Fury and Fifth Avenues

Whoever gets this is really going to enjoy it. With only 20 something thousand miles, it's practically brand new. This car is the total package. Comfortable, fast, spacious, safe. Yes it's expensive to fix but it's totally worth it.
