We took our New Dacia Jogger with the sleep pack and tent out for a test run. Here's what we thought of it. This video isn't endorsed or sponsored by Dacia.

We took a much needed break from the Scottish winter and went on a trip over to the Canary Islands. We were lucky enough to get to hike the beautiful Arco de las Peñitas on Fuerteventura. I've included some bonus footage of some of the other places we visited on the island.

I wanted to see where I could get to from my own front door. Beautiful rugged shore line, random wildlife encounters, ruins and some cliff top paths that aren't for the faint hearted. This was my favourite walk of the year so far.

Stunning hike round Glen Muick and Lochnagar. It almost ended in disaster when I thought I was walking on about 2 inches of compacted snow, then my foot went through it and there was foot deep craves underneath! Can't wait to come back in spring, get to the summit and bag Lochnagar.

I intended to go for a long walk along the old Formartine and Buchan railway line route. Things didn't work out like that due to a fallen tree on the path, however, this resulted in me finding myself in a clearing with a couple of deer; which was a pretty cool experience. The lesson I'm taking from this into the new year is that if something doesn't go to plan it might just be because something...

Mither Tap from Bennachie Visitor Centre car park. I've walked this hill many times and it is still my favourite walk in Aberdeenshire. Its rewards far out weight the challenges. Beautiful sunrise during the assent and a reminder of how quickly conditions can change during the Scottish winter on the decent with a sudden snow shower.
