I have done a what if on what if the Governor was not too far gone but in the scenario I had the group stay at the prison. Would be interesting to play out what could happen though if they did meet

I take that back Troy still could have had an impactful “death” in s4. Imagine after the bridge explosion the Proctors go to war with the whole family. Troy is on their side but he became more neutered being around them but after breaking bad for the sake of the war. Madison sees him start to go savage again but this time take it too far. She is forced to kill him because he’s too relentless and he will leave collateral. This betrayal shocks and breaks Troy as well as Madison as he was just trying to help them. This death wasn’t done out of spite but rather out of sparing the universe from Troy’s wrath if that makes sense. Ironically, after they defeat the Proctors she starts to break bad - becoming what she feared of Troy. Eventually going into the direction that Erickson wanted.

If Erickson never left Troy would not of died. The only reason Troy died in season 3 is because Erickson did not want the new show runners to ruin him.

No I don’t think he could. The only reason Madison could manipulate Troy is because she was a parental figure and he got big mother issues.

@@HoboDucks that's the thing I don't hate what's happening, but I hate why the things are happening. I mean the war between Walker's people and the ranch will seemingly start over Madison's dumb decision to rescue Alicia. And that only happened because of Jake's dumb decision to go there and negotiate without any real leverage. I personally can't stand when shows use bad decision making to drive the plot forward. Kinda like how Chris, Daniel, and Nick all basically went crazy in one episode in order to split up the group. And I know there are "reasons" for all these characters' bad decisions but they still felt illogical and unjustified imo.

I agree Morgan should of been a side character

There definitely should have been a scene with some of those characters. I understood why they could not do Daryl as he was gone already when Rick came back but they definitely should of done something

Hopefully I can get season 11 Part 1 out soon. I have already finished writing it just need to record. I am also trying to write part 2 already so part 1 and 2 can come out close together

I do slightly blame Angela Kang for playing it too safe with the ending of the official show but at the same time even the comics played it safe with their fairy tale ending. I’m hoping your rewrite can challenge expectations and we see everyone being at threat of potentially dying. Last season should be a time of uncertainty not a time of comfort when you know the main cast is generally safe. At least a balance between some surviving and some not rather than the entire main cast will never die but a few minors plus Rosita (at her request) can die.

I underestimated how hard rewriting a show actually is so I understand the process has to be well thought out before being executed.

Hopefully my rewrites can do that. I have already planned out all the big moments in the season and big deaths. I also thought she played it too safe and the final season lacked deaths. So hopefully my final season will have that every character is at threat feeling. My rewrites will definitely end with a finite feeling as the events of Daryl Dixon, dead city and the ones who live do not happen at all or will be adapted to fix into the commonwealth arc. So no character is safe and I will be killing off some big characters.

@@HoboDucks I’m glad u are ignoring the spin offs. Obviously it doesn’t mean I want everyone to die but I still want the illusion of safety to be turned off. A happy ending can still be had but just on a slightly sadder note with most of the characters being wiped off the map.

Beatrix helped kill off Oceanside because she sees them as traitors because back in season 8 Oceanside took heavy losses defending Hilltop that is why Sydney is not in season 9 and instead of getting justice for the ones they lost they was forced to by the leadership to work and live along side their oppressors. So she and other oceansiders felt betrayed and became disillusioned. The deal was to kill the savoirs and also the traitors so the leader of Oceanside but also rick as he forced everyone to live with the savoirs. Rick took most of the blame for it so he was a main target.

It is impressive how good the actor is. He had 3 episodes and gave it his all.

@@HoboDucks when Gareth went in that church I was worried someone else was going to die that episode. Then Rick came in like a badass. I was fully immersed. He was important for the group and how they viewed other survivors later down the line.

It is definitely one of the best moments in the show

@@HoboDucks probably in my top 5 favourite moments in the show.

Rick realises that the Governor is not to be messed with and they are going to need more weapons if they want to win this conflict. The same happens as they meet crazy Morgan who tries to kill them. Eventually he can get to Morgan and he comes with them along with the guns he had. Pretty much the same he just comes with them. Morgan pretty much scares the whole group with his crazy looking eyes (even Merle got the creeps from him despite trying to brush it off) apart from Rick who already knows him and Carl who doesn’t look that fazed on anything anymore. Losing Lori seems to have almost broken him too as he no longer sees things as he used to. Later on Karen (a person from Woodbury) gives the group an envelope. It contains a neutral meeting spot. Rick and the Gov meet and they talk about territories. The Gov says he will let Rick keep the prison if he hands over Michonne. Rick doesn’t know how to process this but the Gov gives him a deadline so Rick feels the pressure. Rick speaks to Andrea and Daryl about this proposal. Andrea is against this idea but Daryl is neutral towards the idea. Rick decides to go along with it and Daryl accepts that this is a choice they have to make. Merle over hears this and encourages them to take the offer as this is the only way to make peace. Rick gets an epiphany and changes his mind last second but Merle takes the mantle like in the show and goes along with the plot. Exactly like the show he is persuaded into letting Michonne go. Before he leaves however he gives Michonne his metal hand to give to Glenn. He regrets everything he took part in and he wanted to redeem himself. Merle gets the same ending and Daryl finds him. Because they know that the Gov will attack them bc they went against the agreement they prepare ahead. Like in the show the Gov attacks but the group ambush them. The Gov is forced to retreat. He gets into a rage and begins unloading on his entire squad like in the show. Carl still kills the boy who half surrendered in the woods. The group go out and find Karen who was the only survivor of that attack. She takes them to Woodbury and gets everyone to stand down. Rick recruits everyone to go to the prison. Rick wins the battle this season.

S4: Copied you and the show. We get more scenes of Beth in this version since I know this will be her last season. She still suffers nightmares from her experience with Axel but she manages to find hope again with her new boyfriend. Carl had a small hint of jealousy towards him highlighting that he is starting to grow up. But once again her happiness is cut short when he dies on a supply run. Her and Carl have more scenes together as well (I thought their dynamic was interesting but we only saw glimpses). Before the sickness we also see small scenes of Glenn trying to get the hang of only using one hand other than when he uses the metal hand for battle. He seems a bit more positive than last season as the community is thriving and he is slowly getting used to having one hand. Rick is on his farmer timing since he wants to be a good role model for Carl who has gone down this dark path after having to put down Lori, kill Axel, and kill a surrendering kid in the woods. The same thing with what you said with Rick slowly losing trust in Morgan and when Karen and David get killed Morgan gets blamed for it and is forced to leave the prison. T dog taking Tyreese’s role he is angry at this and wants revenge. The same in the show happens with the Gov eventually returning with Tara’s family. He kills Martinez and takes over like in the show. He kills Herschel and destroys the prison. Rick is saved by Morgan and they escape with Carl. Michonne chooses not to kill the Gov and leaves him to bleed out on the floor as he is now once again left with nothing. He gets mauled by walkers and isn’t mercy killed by Lilly like in the show. She joins Maggie and Oscar. Andrea escapes by herself and starts having visions of Amy before meeting up again with Rick and Carl after Morgan left once realising he’s too crazy to be around Carl who he nearly put in danger. Daryl is also by himself until he meets the claimers. Beth dies trying to get Judith to safety but T dog manages to save Judith. Carol takes the two girls as you said. Glenn is in terrible condition since he is sick but his determination and endurance to find Maggie overrides his pain. He ends up saving Tara who just lost her entire family and snaps her back into reality. All the build up to Terminus is exactly the same at this point and those are my only tweaks. S5: Carol saves the group but Oscar is the one who gets bit then eaten by Gareth instead of Bob. He gets bit during the escape rather than on a supply run. Bob in my rewrite doesn’t appear in s4 and 5 but I thought his character is better suited for FTWD so he is exclusively on fear. Everything you did with s5 onwards was amazing so I couldn’t even possibly try to improve on that.

That is what makes him such a great character. Shane is only the villain of season 2 because he was just more adaptable and ready for the world. Everyone else at the time still held on to the old ways making Shane look evil compared to them. Shane was right eventually as we see with rick becoming Shane. Rick even mirrors Shane in season 5s final couple of episodes.

It does need something the last crossover was in 2019 I think.

He was almost on the list but just missed out. If this was a top 15 he would be 11.

The writing was all over the place I agree but I do think the only good thing fear did was Morgan. In my personal opinion fear fixed Morgan for me. I really disliked him on the main show but on fear in season 6 and after they really developed his character and made me really like him as a character.

@@HoboDucks I totally understand your point of view and get why you feel that way, I guess I just have a soft spot for his "all life is precious" take and I know not everyone loves it I definitely don't like the back and forth I'm happy about what he chose in the end.

The franchise has started to do wired stuff like that a lot. In tales we got ghosts and time loops. I am not surprised if they did go with it in DD.

I think it could be possible because in universe we know walkers migrate to avoid colder temperatures so maybe they do the same to avoid the heat.

At the start of this series I was not ambitious enough sadly.

It seems they start in England but end up in Spain later on. Daryl and Carol really suck at getting home it seems

@@HoboDucks I'll be patient and wait for an explanation from the show However, for centuries sailors have used the trade winds to help them cross the Atlantic Ocean. Normally they would sail to the South of Spain/North of Africa and then head West.

Very true maybe that is how they end up there.

The issue with Heath and Georgie is that the show runners have said Heath is dead and was taken by the crm and for Georgie both Daryl and Carol never met her so don’t even know her.

@@HoboDucks I picked those two as examples of someone unexpected. Carol's reaction really has left me wondering what is up. Heath was taken by the CRM, but otherwise his fate is still unknown. As for Georgie, they would still know who she was and what she was doing. Maggie had been contact with our main group via messages while she was away helping Georgie. (I know Georgie is a stretch, but it might be a way to introduce a new threat to the communities now that the CRM was shut down)

New show runners from season 4 onward completely ruin the show.

The 'Dirty Martha' plot line is possibly the worst one in the whole TWD universe.

You changed the Governor plot a bit in s4 in terms of meeting the new group. I would keep it the same as in the show. I kind of changed my mind about Beth I do like your ending for her more. There was a deleted scene with her and Carl talking about the dead so if that could be kept in along with a few extra scenes then it would be a good time for her to go. Glenn’s whole saving Tara and finding Maggie at all costs I would keep that in the show. You cooked on everything else from here on.
