Why We Moved to Mexico (And Our Biggest Regret About Coming Back) | Real Talk About Expat Life 🇲🇽 After 3 incredible years living in Mexico, we're sharing our unfiltered story about why we moved south of the border, what life was really like there, and the surprising reason we moved back to Arizona (hint: it wasn't because we didn't love Mexico!). In this video: - Our "crazy" decision to leave ...
Punta Banda was known for good halibut fishing
Awesome, video. I am very interested in places in Mexico in the same time zone as San Diego, or at least not more than a couple hours off. I also am only looking for place where you can either drive to San Diego in a sane length of time or close to an airport that has regular flights to San Diego. Curious how often you visit San Diego from Ensenada, and on average the time to get there and back?
I really enjoyed this video; it inspired me to do one with my husband about our 2025, since this year we are going to move abroad, and it will be nice to have that documented. Cheers, and congratulations in adding Financial literacy on your list (#1)
More great information much thanks .
Well it sure looks better than it did back in the 80s I used to own a house in Welton and I used to go to the river a lot. Don't forget the Colorado River has a lot to offer you there lake Martinez imperial dam. There used to be a place to go swimming right on the river in Yuma at a local park. 🏜️
Okay I'm going to watch all of your videos you're my kind of people lots of information packed in one video great information hope you're still enjoying Yuma. You're very inspiring. I love Mexico I've been there many times born and raised in San Diego currently living in Sun City Arizona AKA Phoenix. The information you provided was exactly what I was looking for thank you. 🏜️
Just came across this channel we're from Playas Saludos
We moved to Playas de Tijuana last February and other than being farther away from family in Southern California and the long wait lines at the border it's been great.
I forever learned the difference when I confused “moreno” (brunette) with “morado” (purple) 😂 If someone is purple, call an ambulance! 😅 But makeup for your pancakes, that’s a good one. 😁
Stop moving to Mexico!!!! You´re colonizing! Stop it!
Hola amigos un fuerte abraso desde guanajuato Mexico 🍺🍷🇲🇽
You had some great and less covered info here! Enjoyed your video and saved it!
Great video! I’m glad you touched on crime in Mexico. I have always wanted to visit Mexico but I’ve been afraid because we have children and one with special needs and what the news tells us about Mexico is it’s incredibly dangerous. After watching many video I now believe we are missing out by not visiting.
Mexico, wonderful country!
Nice video. Good advices, and yes, if you plan to live in Mexico, it is strongly advised to learn spanish, as much as you can. Nowadays, there are tons of songs in spanish, and subtitled movies around so you can practice your spanish as much . Nonetheless, I will strongly advice to know what part of the country, and what part of the state, and what of the city you are planning to visit. Unfortunately, Mexico has changed a lot and it is not as safe to travel as it used to be. Queretaro is one of the great exemptions.
How is Mexico America that's just like saying Canada is America what you're saying makes absolutely no sense🤔
Because all of the countries in North and South AMERICA are considered America.
Friend... America is a continent with north, central and south. The U.S. is in North America. We are the United States of America. We do commonly use the term American to describe ourselves, and we are on the continent... But American = US Citizen is not a world wide thing. ❤
To avoid this confusion, I've started calling people from the USA unitedstateans
America is a continent. You live in the United States of America, a country. Mexico’s official name is Mexican United States. A US person calling themselves American sounds as weird to non US people as someone from Mexico saying they are from the United States (if they meant the Mexican ones).
The United States of Mexico America is the full name
Thank you for your service Kevin, and thank you for the info
You need to watch novellas. Novellas teach Spanish.
Great tips to keep in mind! Thanks for sharing!
I wish I were sitting outside at Cafecito!
I love looking around little local shops so I could see myself enjoying downtown Yuma immensely (at least once anyway lol). Great video!
I love the camaraderie and relationship that you and Kevin have together. You are definitely a dynamic team that love to explore together. I can see that you have a wonderful way of communicating with each other. And that'll make this (temporary) transition more palatable!
Thank you so much!
Good for you to ditch the Maga crazies
It never gets old laughing at the Kamala cult losers who are dividing us
💕💕😊😊
What is the reason for your Daughter wanting to move back to Mexico.
Lots of reasons but Mexico is just a lot less stressful than the States, overall. And the people are really really nice.
hello, im the daughter (sapphire) I have a few reason I lked Mexico more than the USA or Id move back there. 1st: Its way way cheaper there than it is in the USA 2: People are way nicer and more eager to help 3: we have created more of a family there that is so loving and so kind and helping and that is something i cherish and loved!
Roosters😂marriachi😂😊
Please don’t not move to Mexico
Why
Yea why ???
ok y
We have lived in Mexico for the last 3 years lol did you watch the video at all? We love Mexico, and Mexico loves us. ;)
@@tiffanygregory1208many of you have made areas more expensive, you have raised the prices of products making many have to leave and mainly appropriating the beaches and believing yourselves to be an authority when you have neither permits nor pay taxes (mostly) using our country as a retreat, in mazatlan your people wanted to ban tombola and banda music, we had to go out and demonstrate because we did not want our way of life to change even if they are not that type of migrant that call themselves expats and are quite credulous in many places we are tired, not to mention those who come to visit us for THAT type of tourism that involves children, many years ago we admired the kindness to foreigners, now in states with beaches and parts of Mexico City do not expect kindness edit: sure there are good American and Canadian people who live in poor areas, pay taxes, respect our daily life as well as the noise, they don't try to do that tourism by taking pictures in poor areas for morbid but really more people have changed their perception about this kind of foreigners, at least you should take that into account
I loved your video! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. I agree with you about the relaxing/hustle mood. Every time I visit my family in Mexico I tend to no work but enjoy the relaxed life.
Thank you!
Love this!
I'm nothing if not crazy. My plan is to find a home in Europe for the remainder of my days. Haven't decided exactly where. And honestly, it doesn't matter too much to me. I just want better access to all the old world beauty that exists there. It's my dream and always has been to explore ruins, castles, old villages, etc. And there is so much to experience. Can't wait. Also, if you guys are ever up for it would love to have a meetup while i'm here in Yuma. Completely understand if it's not your thing. Anyway, you guys did great in this video. Look forward to more.
I love Mexico so much, and I can't wait to move there. I also can't wait to follow you on this next 'wandering' chapter!
hell nah, there are already enough of you here, who earn in dollars and pay in pesos, we don't want you here
I loved the first house and I miss the dolphins. 6:22
