Would you recommend paintbox dk or aran ? I purchased the skull pattern from you and was curious if you think the dk would be good to make that with ?

Hi! I have a question about your teeth mosaic crochet pattern. This is my first time mosaic crocheting and i’m left handed. i understand thus far that i need to read the chart from left to right rather than right to left. For certain special stitches do i need to reverse those as well? for example when you have a DC Dec start SC followed by a DC Dec end SC (from left to right, the way I am reading it) should i be reversing those stitches as well? Like, switching to DC Dec End SC, then DC Dec Start SC? Or do I follow the stitches exactly just in the reverse direction?

For the back panel will doing a panel in regular single crochets (same number of rows and columns as the mosaic panel) come out to the right size or do you recommend doing another mosaic panel to get a closer size match?

The tutorial and pattern are great and really clear BUT I've annoyingly made a design decision that's giving me such a headache. I wanted to do a colour change and instead of changing the background colour I've chosen to change the colour of the skulls themselves and row 18 and 19 are giving me such a headache! It's the rows where the top of the border to the row below steps up and the bottom of the next border above steps down and trying to figure out how to make that work is so hard.

The velvet skulls looked SO angry. Love it. This video looked like a lot of work. Thank you so much for all you do.

this might be a silly question, but can anyone tell me what the plus one is for?? i understand for a regular foundation chain it is for turning, but this is in the round, so what is it for?? and does the plus one mean one of the scales will have an extra stitch all the way up? sorry, I'm newish to crocheting and this is my first time attempting mosaic crochet 😅

Hi there. Working on bonez and have a question about the diagonal up & down. In the pattern the “check mark” Takes up 2 stitches “boxes” Does that mean once we do the sc and the DC immediately below, do we then skip the next stitch and then do the next DC? I’m referring to line 38 of the pattern.

Do you block your panels before assembling? I just made your sunflowers with acrylic yarn.

I literally didn't know about mosaic crochet until last night, and now I've binged most of your tutorial videos (sometimes twice). You rock at describing and showing the stitches!! Are these special stitches ones you came up with? I've only found one other video for mosaic crochet using stitches other than single and doubles (and border stitches), but their special stitches were completely different.

This is still my absolute favorite pattern! I wear them all the time and even made a couple for friends and family, so so many thanks for sharing them! All of your patterns in general are so lovely, I'll probably always come back to them ❤

First one I made with a 5 mm hook was HUGE but gorgeous. Now making one with a 3mm and it's a perfect bauble size

Nice, I use the same counting method for increases cuz I hate having to constantly count and my ADHD just can't track where I'm at without counting outloud lol

Not me crocheting a blanket with mercerized cotton while watching this video 😂 But if you're in the south like me and a super breathable cotton is essential for blankets, my trick is instead of just crocheting through back loops, do the back loop and the third loop. Mercerized cotton likes to get really distorted on just the back loop and create some big holes. But crocheting through both those back loops tightens down that front loop. When you're doing special stitches where you might ned two DCs in one front loop, just grab one of those other loops on the front. It ensures that front loop doesn't get too long and prevents the opposite color from peeking through.
