Stories of The Prophets - Lut (Lot)
The story of Prophet Lut (also known as Lot in the Bible) is a significant narrative in Islamic teachings, found in the Quran. Prophet Lut was sent as a messenger to the people of Sodom, cities known for their immoral acts, especially homosexuality. Lut preached to his people, urging them to abandon their indecent behavior and to follow the path of righteousness. However, they refused to listen and continued their practices.
The Quran vividly describes the fate that befell the people of Sodom and Gomorrah due to their persistent wrongdoing. Despite Lut's efforts, his people rejected his message and even threatened him and his followers. As a result, Allah's punishment came upon them. The Quran states that the towns were destroyed through a terrible disaster, which included a shower of layered hard clay.

He will fill the earth will equity and justice as it was filled with oppression and tyranny, and he will rule for seven years. ( SOURCE : SUNAN-ABU-DAWOOD : 4285 ) .
