Just fired up my 1990 YJ after ditching the Carter BBD. The replacement is a Motorcraft 2150 1.08 that I rebuilt last weekend.

Been fighting with carter carb problems. Found a vacuum leak on the throttle shaft seal of my Carter BBD. it was remanufactured in 2011.

Finally got my idle and erratic running issues solved. IAVC stepper motor pins were causing lots of issues. Thank you to John Butter, Keymo, BCDonny, and NonRubicon for your help! Wranglerforum.com
Glad I found this video and it was a good help about 3/4 way through until you forgot you were the one filming. Still helped me figure mine out though. Thanks. Would love to catch the end of the process maybe with someone filming you do it so they can see whats going to show up on the video. You have the same set up as I do and I just got a new top and dont want to destroy it. Thats why I would be interested in the whole process

Kelley Henley it is recommend to do anyway for sake of better ignition. I highly recommend to get rid of the stock system completely and convert to an HEI setup from CRT Performance. crtperformance.com/shop?olsPage=products%2Famcjeep-232258-42l-i6
The YJ soft top is one big mess! They finally got it right when the tj came out. Love my YJ though. Good video!

How do you like that motorcraft carb? I still have the factory carter and would like to upgrade. I can't decide between a weber or that mc 2150. What are your thoughts? Thanks...
weber is not great, go with motorcraft. theres a guy on ebay selling kits.
