Had the pleasure of watching a few 47's with a mall rake of tankers still serving the old oil terminal when I worked for BT out of the old bus garage in Kingsway in the late 1980's. Still think its a shame that the track was left to rot and then lifted to be replaced by the busway.
Now its the bus way
all those bloody awful box houses and flats springing up everywhere
Dunstable my home town
Hope it's ok I've shared with our Facebook page.
No problem
Hello, We stayed there last week. Very nice place. Nice video.
that's wear I live kinda
They should have got the tram line back Luton would have looked amazing with trams

This video was made by my 96 year old Uncle.
Great video. Very informative. It's always a fascinating place to visit. james:)
Well well,`Beechism` is still around us after all this time.I have often thought why not rerun the route from Dunstable through to Luton town station...seems a logical idea. Well as we have all experienced over the years.railways should ALWAYS be run by railwaymen...period.
the money would have been far better spent putting a relief road in around dunstable and bringing the town back to life with less traffic congestion and more accesible parking
and all to save a few people just a few minutes on the transit time between luton and the ghost town that is dunstable.
It is a bloody disgrace what they have done to the railways in this country. They have now removed the track and are going ahead with that stupid busway.
And what a mess they have made, and it isnt even definitely going to happen.
