Yes, the subwoofer has plenty of punch for small ish rooms and it's great for music and for movies although it won't go below about 30hz but you can barely hear that anyway, still the best for the money. If you want to connect it to the Cambridge audio amp there's no subwoofer out so instead you would have 2 wires come out of your amp, one goes to the speakers and one goes to the subwoofer, to do this simply twist the wires together at the ends then they just slot into the banana plugs.

You can also connect it another way if needed. Run an RCA cable from the tape loop output on any hifi amp straight to the line in on the sub. The only issue is the sub volume stays level when you turn the amp up or down as line out isn't affected by output volume, but it works effectively other than that.

This is similar to having a clock not working. It will say the correct time twice a day. Probably the most idiotic way to connect a sub to an amplifier. @@justifiedsoul69

The 3.5mm aux goes into the sub out on the edifiers then you connect the aux to an RCA cable splitter then they go into line level input on the back of the subwoofer. If you already did this, then make sure the volume nob is turned up on the subwoofer 👍

Hey, we have the same speakers with our sw150, they pair very well and sound very good especially for the money. it will work as long as it has the subwoofer out on the back of the speaker which the r1850db will have. They are active speakers so you won't need an external amp, the subwoofer just plugs into the back of the edifiers. Thank you for the comment 👍

It's very durable from what I can tell I've blasted it to the absolute max many times and had no problems, not that I would recommend doing this. Given that, I can't see that using it on moderately high volumes it would break easily.

Guess where your logitech is made. LMAO! You are after quantity and not quality, the logitech is boosted AF in the 60-90hz region, the wharfedale is very linear in comparison. The wharfedale digs deeper too.

@markwinston3119 I stated the wharfedale hits deeper but unless I got a faulty unit the logitech definitely makes a hell of a lot more noise and put a z2300 in a custom box and it will beat most subs if not all subs under £300

@@brynleysmith3510 making a lot more noise isnt a thing that most people want, like I said, you are clearly after quantity and not quality. I had the Z906 back in the day and all it made was just noise, loud obnoxious uncontrolled undefined bass with a crazy boost in the upper bass. Thats all it will do. If you are going to shove the Z2300's sub into another cabinet and change the port tuning, all it will do is take away all that upper bass boost you apparently like and sound worse than the wharfedale.

First of all replace that sound bar, you can get better speakers for the same money. get some bookshelf active speakers with a built in amplifier with a subwoofer out on the back and then you can connect this subwoofer to the speakers. If not get some passive speakers with a stereo receiver that supports a subwoofer and then just plug your subwoofer into the amplifier and you're good to go

You cannot connect this subwoofer to your current soundbar. It is an active subwoofer meaning it needs to plug into a "sub out line out port" with a 3.5mm jack to dual male rca. It will only hook up to a AV receiver, active speakers with a sub out or soundcard. If you are unsure about hooking up a powered subwoofer please contact wharfedale or check online user manuals. There is plenty of advice out there. Hope this helps.

@@randomweirdyoutubechannel8955 remember Wharfedale sw150 is a musical HiFi subwoofer designed mostly for clarity despite being ported. Its still very loud at 107dB however if you are after more output rather than clarity then maybe look at some car subwoofers or pa subwoofers will certaintly give you tons of output for the money.
