    I have this same 'Thor Connivence Center'. I have my new (very used) RV parked. I turn on the generator and water pump. The bathroom faucet spurts out water. But the kitchen faucet doesn't do any spurting or flowing. Tanks show they have water. Is there a step I'm missing?

    Don't leave the black water tank valve open when you open the valve for the grey water tank. The odour from the black water tank will travel across into the grey water tank, back up through the sink drain and into your living space. Ask me how I know this...

    When you have water filled in the fresh water tank Do you run the water pump the whole day or u have to turn it on when your going to wash your hands etc every single time and turn it off every single time?

    • @spencerjones4328

      To each their own.. I personally turn it off every night so it doesn't cycle on and startle my wife (😆) and then I leave it off until the first use of the day and leave it on for convenience until that night. Hardly uses battery if it's left on and the lines are already pressurized.

      Lol. Well the toilets don't work like traditional ones. When you step on the pedal it just DROPS down. So if you turn off the switch, you can do 2 or 3 "late night trips to pee" with enough pressure in the line. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    So you dump the grey water tank second to help clean out the tube so it doesn’t smell or leak sewage as much when putting the hose back?

    • @spencerjones4328
      @spencerjones4328 2 роки тому

      Right! Sorta... Black tank has solids and the grey tank doesn't. That's really the "logic". Run some extra water if you're having smelling or leaking problems/concerns. Sometimes we put chemicals in the tank just to dump it again after a drive.

    my question is does water still run without the generator connection or does it have a battery 🔋 on the side?or you need to have the water camp connected?

    • @spencerjones4328
      @spencerjones4328 3 роки тому

      Good question. If it's from fresh water using the pump then you need only battery. If the batteries are dead then you'll need generator or plug in to shore power to make the pump work and to recharge your batteries. If it's city water, then you don't need anything else. Batteries can be off on of the RV entirely and it will still work since it's being pressurized from the city connection. 👍

    on average 1 person taking 1 shower a day, how often would you have to re fill the water?

    • @spencerjones4328
      @spencerjones4328 3 роки тому

      That's hard to answer because there are a lot of other factors. How often are you using the toilet? How often are you using water to wash dishes or prepare meals? How often do you use water to wash other things (like rinsing sand off of your feet from the beach)? It's a matter of everything adding up. Even then, with a family of 4 that's moderately conservative with water use, it'll last a few days. If you use a lot of water for all of those other things, we've had some families call us thinking there was a hole in the water tank! Check your monitors and that'll give you a gauge of how much water you're consuming before you have to refill.

    Would I be able to plug in things like a moniter and pc and if not how can I

    • @spencerjones4328
      @spencerjones4328 3 роки тому

      Yes you can if you're plugged into 30 power and possibly when you are adapted down (would depend on overall energy demand of your PC along with the other components of the RV). If you wanted to use it while travelling or not plugged into 30+ amps, you'll need an RV with a generator on board and the same things apply with the demand of your other appliances (Air Conditioner takes a lot of juice from the generator). I wouldn't recommend trying to run off of battery unless you own one and you plan on a lot of batteries and solar panels. These guys were the OG's when it came to answering the question if you can run anything and everything off of battery and solar, and as you can see, a lot is involved to get to that level. ua-cam.com/video/B0rZY5uotKI/v-deo.html

    So big time newbie question: when you are parked at a location with sewage at your site, (like and RV park) do you leave the tank valves open, or you do just dump them every few days (or when your levels go up)?

    • @spencerjones4328
      @spencerjones4328 4 роки тому

      You can leave the grey tank open. But you'll want to leave the black tank closed until it has enough content in it before opening the valve. I wait until at least 1/3 full before opening it. This helps keep enough fluids in the black tank when you pull the valve, it pulls out all of the solid contents as well. If you leave it open, you have what we call a "pyramid" of a mess.

    • @prestoncox
      @prestoncox 4 роки тому

      @@spencerjones4328 I get what you're saying. 💩 I've heard that the sensors can be a little deceiving, especially in black tanks because of "stuff" getting stuck on or near the sensors. Is this true?

    • @spencerjones4328
      @spencerjones4328 4 роки тому

      @@prestoncox Definitely. Happens all of the time. Which is why we always put chemicals and some water in the tanks so as you drive it continues to care for the tanks and try to clean off the sensors as much as possible. But even then, if you drive the RV with water and chemicals in the toilet, sensors could read full at the end of the drive. It should drop down to empty about an hour after you park.
