Welcome to the channel and come join me along my fishing adventures across the Northeast, Great lakes and beyond. The main focus is to share my experiences and excitement of fishing and to teach maybe something new and educational to not only you but myself as well. The main species I target are salmon and trout not only because of the elegance and beauty of the fish but because they shine importance of conservation of fragile ecosystems in the ever evolving great lakes region. Also theres an ample amount of techniques and styles of fishing that shouldn’t be overlooked and may change the old crude ways of the past management and fishing stigmas that still have a strong hold in the region. Now come join me for another adventure and learn something new or just enjoy the view.
Trolling for Big Early Fall Lake Trout
It was september 19th 2024 and almost a perfect day out on the lake, the morning started out with foggy calm waters and gave way to a warm sunny day with near glass water condition. The fishing was slow but given the water quality it was expected. There was a large algea bloom so the fish had a hard time seeing the lures and the other trout and salmon didn't seem to care much to pursue my lure with only lake char taking interest. Im still new to the whole boat trolling experience so the two large lakes and the one wild laker was a really nice treat to help me dial in this new method of fishing.

Idaho Adventure Part 2: Alpine Lake cutthroat trout fishing
Переглядів 59821 день тому
It was July 11th 2024 and my second part to my Idaho trip and I visited a remote alpine lake that got very little pressure. The hike was 2 miles which seems like a short hike to a fishing spot out west but back home it would be considered a trek just to go fishing. I caught several westslope cutthroat trout on both the dry fly and a dropper nymph which was a tan chubby Chernobyl and phesant tai...
Idaho Adventure part 1: Big Rivers and New Species
Переглядів 67721 день тому
It was july 9th 2024 and I already spent a few days getting my friends all moved into thier new home and I was getting acclimated to the new elevation and was extremely eager to get out on the water. I was able to explore some world class waters and managed to bump into quite a few fish, with a new species the mountain whitefish, a new subspecies the westslope cutthroat trout and the rest being...
Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and lakers on the trolling camera (strike Vu)
Переглядів 387Місяць тому
This was a compilation of a few trips out on a few local lakes this perivous summer of 2024 on my strike vu camera and I always like to see on the super slow days what is going on down below and get a few questions answered. Am I going to slow or fast? Am I not using the right lure? Am I not at the right depth? Some times I think its more often then not the fish simple aren't in a biting mood, ...
Spinner Fishing Wild Salmon in Small Creek
Переглядів 3,5 тис.2 місяці тому
October 17th 2024, We finally got some rain we needed for the 2024 fall salmon run and most of the more well known rivers and streams were packed full of eager fisherman and women from all across the northeast so I decided to head to a few smaller creeks to escape the crowds and sadly the snaggers that turn the fish off. I only caught two nice salmon, one a chinook salmon and a coho salmon both...
Catching Lake Trout and Big Rainbow Trout
Переглядів 1583 місяці тому
It was september 13th 2024, the weather forcast for that weekend was supposed to be perfect, little to no wind and warm with sun. Might not be the best for trolling in the late summer/ early fall but the fish did not mind at all. It was my first time ever fishing this lake despite it being only 20 minutes from home and it proved to be a banner day and a big confidence boost for my new fishing t...

Looks like it was a fun little outing. What fine Idaho city/town did your buddy move to? IMO Idaho is by far the best state to live in.
There's nothing like that feeling of catching a fish on a fly rod. It's as if you feel connected the fish & that sensation where you feel every movement the fish is making. As if the rod line fish and water all become One in that moment.
couldn't have describe it any better! fly fishing is hands down one of best ways to fish
Nicely done.
Cool, in my near by lake if you get 1 bite per day you are lucky and if you miss that shot thats it
definitely got spoiled for my first alpine lake. I was expecting that slow and tricky fishing
Nice job bud👍🏽🍻glad your hooked on fishing👊🏽😉
Dude now that’s a fish 🤘🏼
Dang😳
Keep the videos coming!
Massive fish
Thats a small bull stealhead
When is a coho salmon still good to eat once it turns red prior to spawning or just after spawning?
From what I’ve seen for Cohos in Lake Ontario most of them are good eating when their still silver or slightly turned darker when they’re in the tributaries, but when they are in their spawning colors the meat seems to be mushy and very fishy. Not to say that rule of thumb applies to other Great Lakes or the west coast it might be different.
On the west coast if the gill plate is black it is past good eating this is usually about when it starts to turn red for bucks or brownish for hens
PESCA sin muerte 👍👍👍👏👏👏
On the tributaries in the fall I’ll catch big Kings on jerkbaits
Never tried jerkbaits for salmon but I’ve always wanted to try it, seems more popular on the western Great Lakes than back home
Love it brother, no BS, just some great catches.
🙂
Are those salmon or trout?
I think a bit of both but I’m not 100% sure southern fisherman here
i think they r salmon maybe like steelhead also
mostly brown and rainbow trout
It was 3 salmon, chinook ,coho, Atlantic and two trout, rainbow(steelhead) and a brown
where is this? USA or Canada?
The good old USA
@@NorthCreekAdventures Thanks for telling!
Crazy footage of those salmon chasing each other around. I had no idea they did that!
😂that last steelhead said I seen enough lol. Hey I used mice tails on 14 size treble hook with 1/2oz on 14lbs test. I was catching Brooke trout and Brown trout at least 24 to 28 inches at the Yellowstone river in Montana Gardiner entrance. I literally pulled over the side of road where they have the fishing 🎣 signs posted.
The river your fishing is closed waters
99 percent sure it’s public water rights, DEC pretty good at updating water right access and nothing was posted at the anglers parking lot.
I am agree with author. Salmon keep instincts during spawning. Not sure that fish eggs or artificial eggs very effective.
That was crazy!! 6:22
Bro did you actually fish that at yellow stone? Which entrance? I caught a couple in Montana of the Gardiner entrance
Most of the fish I caught on my trip out west last year was right in Yellowstone national park, I believe that was caught somewhere around tower junction around the northeast entrance
😊good videos bro and keep up the content
😂tell bro let this keyboard warriors know all answers aren’t found on Wikipedia
It's cool how you can just go right down the road to catch Salmon in the pacific northwest, and here where I live in Pennsylvania, it costs an arm and a leg for a salmon fillet at the grocery store
Agreed on the outrageous price for salmon anywhere. I actually fish not to far from Pennsylvania in New York on the Great Lakes, but I would recommend taking a weekend to fish Lake Erie or Lake Ontario for some salmon and trout to fill a cooler and have some fun.
It is really beautiful 🤩
Whoah! What a hog! Thanks for such a respectful release on that feat of nature.
Definitely a fish worth releasing, hopefully it makes more monsters for years to come
Wow what a beautiful fish. What state did you catch it in?
Agreed, it was an absolutely stunning brookie and was caught in good old New York State
Yep this short should blow up
That’s a hog of a brook
Great fish, what were you using?
Thank you, I was using a 5wt white river classic fly rod with a Orvis hydros 3 reel and matching 5wt Orvis bank shot floating line. The fly I was using is a size 10 black woolly bugger unweighted
Great fish
Genius fisherman!
Holy moly
Ima bust
What now?
Can u tell me about ur rod idk what size fly rod i need for salmon
My fly rod is a Douglas 9wt which is perfect for early season salmon that still have a lot of energy and it’s a little heavy for steelhead if you decide to chase them but you’ll just have a shorter fight, in my honest opinion if I was newer to fly fishing for salmon I’d use a cheap 8wt or 9wt until you get it down pretty good then upgrade to something better and brands don’t really matter.
Damn! That's a huge trout
close, it's actually a chinook salmon or also known as King salmon
@NorthCreekAdventures technically isles a salmon is a type of trout so is a steelhead... "Salmon” split their lives between rivers and the ocean, while “trout” spend their entire lives in freshwater..... so same thing
@NorthCreekAdventures my family is full of fisherman... I only used the term trout because that's what they are... a type of trout
@sethgillihan5685 if you want to get technical, trout are apart of the family salmonidea which consists of multiple genera and species other than trout and salmon so yes you are correct in a sense but also wrong in another. Most salmon, not all (ie.atantic salmon) are semelparous (spawn once then die) compared to trout including a steelhead which is just a costal rainbow trout are iteroparous (spawn mutiple times before dying)…. sooo salmon are not trout, same family but completely different genus its like calling a house cat and a lion are the same thing. Im also apart of a large fishing community and never heard anyone call a salmon a trout or vise versa. Different neck of the woods I guess
@NorthCreekAdventures six in one hand and a dozen in the other.... I'm failing to see how we disagree. But if it makes you feel better and not lose sleep... you're the winner 🏆 🥇 a salmon is a trout that has been to the ocean.... period.commonly referred to as salmon and trout, including the Oncorhynchus and Salmo genera. Salmon in the Pacific, such as Chinook, chum, and sockeye, are in the Oncorhynchus genus, while Atlantic salmon are in the Salmo genus.... now a salmon is not a sturgeon right... so you comparing a hoise cat and a lion is just pointless... it's like saying a chicken and a bald eagle are the same..... both birds yes... The same family no..... a salmon is.a..trout
fish
To short lol
Belle truite arc-en-ciel
Not to demean your catch one of my biggest rainbows also a stocker and took a 18 hemi away Caddis it fought well and I was happy I was mostly commenting about the fact that it's sad we need to rely on stocking instead of better MGMT so we could fish over wild ones no offense
I agree with you for the most part but I think it isn’t the fishery management that need to be better because that fishery is a brood stock program which is the least impactful stocking you could get because it’s still wild fish being caught and spawned you just take away the natural selection at the egg to fingerling stage but there is still a natural selection from fingerling to adult going on in stream and in the lake so you still have a competitive fish that may have been stocked as a little guy but has strong genetic unlike the factory farmed fish stocked in other places. The caveat here is that the fishing culture in the Great Lakes and surrounding regions need to change for the better or simply live with the fact that this is all artificial fishery in the first place but I prefer the first option. I do enjoy these conversations with other anglers which will help our fisheries in the future.
@@NorthCreekAdventures well put
About time
I figured you didn’t watch my other ones so I decided to post this one just for you 😂
I haven't been notified of any videos 😂😂😂
Stocker;
Yes it is a stocked fish but in that lake system they stock fall fingerlings to compensate for the heavy fishing pressure on the spring run fish so it still had to grow up in the lake for a few years. It’s still a nice healthy fish because they have a wild brood stock program to promote good gene selection
You're a good human 😊😊❤
На что снято? Качество пушка!
It was filmed on an IPhone 14 Pro Max front camera with a rock as the cameraman 😂
What state?
New York, the steelhead run is kinda on and off on a lot of the tribs I’ve fished but the few fish I find aren’t that picky, most are caught on eggs flies, black or white zonkers and stonefly pattern
Nice catch!
Atta boy your dad told me your making a few videos 👍🏽
