This is a compilation of all my favorite self-recorded trombone excerpts for orchestra and wind ensemble. All are recorded on a bass trombone, even though all trombone and tuba parts (as well as sometimes euphonium parts) are covered. Enjoy!

This is the second set of excerpts I've put out for posterity's sake. I'm about to go off to college and this serves as a way to track my progress and give a product to show the world for my work. I do not promise perfection (The Gotterdamerung finale is particularly poor intonation-wise), but there are good moments, and it is what it is. All excerpts are produced by me and are on bass trombone...

I began playing trombone after making it to all-state on bassoon and soon thereafter getting burnt out on the instrument. I began trombone in the winter of 2021 and started on *bass* instead of tenor because I thought (and still do think) it’s way cooler and I like playing low and loud. I became reinvigorated with music and practiced incessantly until recently. As I reach the end of my senior y...

This piece is so famous ! It is one one of the works along with Bolcolm's etudes made me decide I wanted to create my own music and stop trying to master Chopin etudes . I am surprised that there aren't hundreds of videos on UA-cam essaying the structure and content . There is so much going on in this edifice one could make dozens about each dozen about each dozen of issues ! Thanks for giving me some insight into its magnificence . I was surprised that you don't know French your "encore plus vif","Lent" etc.are not pronounced correctly . You are young but in highschool don't they still require foreign languages I'm in my 50's so i don't know anymore about secondaryschools or education systems in general .

Stravinsky use "symphonies" referring to the Greek meaning 'sounding together' and Stravinsky described the piece's scheme as "an austere ritual which is unfolded in terms of short litanies between different groups of homogeneous instruments". This piece was written very last minute and Stravinsky found a way to put together a bunch of disparate sketches to create a concert piece. Love the piece and did a score study of my own a few years back on my channel.

Thanks for sharing Gavin. I've only ever played an old "pea-shooter" (tenor without a trigger) where the pedals are limited to low Bb down to E. Like high range, it takes consistent practice to slowly gain greater access, you just have to chip away for a long time. When I started, it was difficult to even tell if the notes were in tune, they all just sound "low". 😆 The analogy of a thumb on a hosepipe, controlling the spraying water, is a useful one. I currently play with pedals by lip slurring up and down an octave. I believe it's possible to reach two octaves down (but only Bb thru E on my instrument!). I never use these notes in performance, but I find practicing them really improves everything else I play, generally, by strengthening the chops and gaining finer control over the all-important air column. A half-way house between breath-attacks and tonguing is the double-tonguing syllable (usually "K" or "G", using the back of the tongue).

Il a capté, à son profit et au profit de sa coterie, tous les crédits de l'Etat pour la musique . Même en URSS, les Jdanov et autres communistes n'en ont pas fait autant. This man is a sophist: slavery was incarceration by the public when dealing with prisoners of war: the alternative being to annihilate them. Sam Harris shows his enemy-free privilege. Slavery was also a welfare-state/safety net given the extreme poverty (PENURY) that he is blind to: = penury free privilege. With ownership of slaves came responsibility for their welfare since a sick slave could faint, causing expensive damage or injury in a communal setting unlike a planation-Runaways couldn't be returned to abusive masters, this means the provision for beating slaves pertained to retaliatory war prisoners-Ask yourself this: why would the hebrews defraud themselves by making "bogus" claims involving Royalty; some of which still exist, that would be summarily debunked? as well as, how do you walk away from slavery with a population-wide transfer of wealth: captors--> slaves? Weinberg has said famously: 'Good people do good things...bad people do bad things..it takes religion for good people to do bad things' In 1900, Russia/China were global doormats. Germany/Japan were geographically disinclined/unable to rely on enslaving. U.S. had 400 years of enslaving blacks. France/Britain/Netherlands hundreds years enslaving colonies. 1900--"BAD" people were enslaving. "GOOD" people were too weak or uninterested in enslaving. 1950--Germany/Japan had murdered 65 million in WWII. Russia/China 100 million in communism (Harvard Press, "The Black Book of Communism") 1950--"BAD" people murdered amost 200 million. "GOOD" people had ended those genocidal regimes. 2000--ALL THE "GOOD" & "BAD" people were accepted into the U.N. in good standing...even by Israel. "GOOD" people & "BAD" people had completely swapped from good to bad, AND BACK in 100 years. AND RELIGION HAD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF IT!!! (OK..communism was atheist and fascism agnostic) Using the accuracies of large numbers, Weinberg is provably and completely failed in his assignation...BUT THAT'S OK!! THEY'RE GOIM. "Good people do good things...bad people do bad things... it takes gews for good people to do bad things" OFFN COURSE WEINBERG COULDN'T SEE ANY HARM IN THAT IDENTICAL LIE!!!?

Having none of these beliefs means you live by rationality where ever it takes you. Ultimately there is no right or wrong, it always depend. Following a set of beliefs is rigid and blinding.
