Don’t get me wring, I think kataang is sweet. But I feel like narratively zutara would have been better. Like the political and cultural and societal implications would have been so profound. Imagine the firstborn son of the firelord being a waterbender. If this wasn’t a nick show and wasn’t cancelled after season 3, it could have been even more of a masterpiece. That being said, it could have also been done poorly so there’s something to be said for ending on the uplifting kataang and then jumping to korra instead of tackling the post-war world.

“You rise with the moon, i rise with the sun” GETS ME EVERY TIME but this is the best zutara video ive seen, all the parallels were shown perfectly including the ones of both of their moms when they were younger. They had so much in common and they would’ve been so good for each other, the writers really missed out on something that could’ve been great
