I am watching the flow on the daily and weekly for a clue the that next level of resistance is yielding.

Agreed. So used to seeing the glorious Friday rallies.

The 18.5-19k area is full of resistance. A break of 19k and I expect all the talking heads will be chanting 20k is next...25k by year end. I can't imagine this is going to end well.

That is the 64,000question. Monthly is in a C wave. The weekly is moving back inside the envelope. The daily is in congestion. Two signs the trend is weakening. And it is doing so in a huge cluster of resistance. The monthly 5/1 and 5/2 combo at a yearly 6/1 is formidable IMO. Will tomorrow's data be the trigger? I do expect we will have an answer soon.

Sure. Will do tomorrow. I had a look today and thought it best to let the market digest Friday's move. I can tell you that the NQ is at a Yearly 6/1 down and monthly 5/1, 5/2 down area. It is an area that runs from 18 to 18.5.

@@Stockt22 Yes, to 18.5k. Tough to say. I do not want to anticipate the indicators. Looking at the flow upward for last week and especially on Friday, I expect last week's high will be taken out. The lower time periods will lead the way. More to come tomorrow.

We use multiples of 5 or 6. Such as a 60/10/2 minute charts for day trading. We also have to keep in mind where the higher time period s/r is. What is the lower time period doing in the are of higher time period s/r?

At this point I see this as a weekly pl dot refresh and at least a test of the weekly envelope top. From there to a new ATH isn't hard to imagine. If the daily does not close in congestion tomorrow - the weekly and daily pl dots hold on close - it would change my outlook. In Ted and Charlie speak, if we are entering a new trend down, rallies will be sold aggressively at resistance levels.

My TS data window says 17873 for the yearly ET.

What symbol are you using? Try the @NQ or use the cash index symbol and load over 20 year's of data.

I used to when I first started as a commodity broker in '05. Got burned badly on a mad cow episode.

Let me check on the data feed for that market. Used to trade the DAX years ago when living in Japan.

To me, the idea becomes more valid the longer the congestion runs.

Thinking the same thing. The lower risk version is wait for the daily pl dot to move above price so all the timeframes are aligned. Good trading.

You are welcome. Keep an eye on the quarterly pl dot area. Although the daily is not reacting yet, it can and it could be a strong one. See how the NQ reacted to its quarterly pl dot and has been rallying since.

If you are not a DG member, there is a practice taught in the lessons called "pinging." After a long trend like this one, buy the daily support and cover for a small profit. Build a cushion for a longer term trade with a cushion for the stop.

To this I add, it is a chance to feel the herd instinct inside. Using the DG to see the hidden structure goes against the herd instinct.

Yes of course. You bring up an excellent point - I am using a slightly different configuration. This is confusing. My apologies. I will set up my charts as they are in the seminar. I will be traveling through Friday evening. When I get settled I will revisit this for you in another video.

I am seeing this a little late...Hawaii is six hours behind NY. Looking at things now, ideally the daily pl dot would have been the entry. What type of trading do we anticipate next? Weekly congestion entrance so it could be congestion action, resume trend or trend reversal. Seeing how the daily and hourly react to the week ET would be the first indication of a weekly cycle down to the weekly EB. Also keep an eye on the area 2-3 dots back on the weekly.

Oh, I like Hawaii time - you get to sleep in :) I wasn't putting enough emphasis on the KOT/NKOT of the FTP. With Congestion Entrance up on the weekly, we'd anticipate a daily trend run/maybe C-waves up. We'd also be anticipating weekly NBR to break or at least weaken to allow for Congestion Entrance up. With that clarity, I'd look to buy around the daily PLD/NBS and monitor as price approaches the weekly ET/NBR. Thanks, Scott. This is helpful.@@drummondgeometrymarketcomm1505

Are you referring to the long term - yearly, quarterly and monthly? In Tradestation the time axis for yearly and quarterly data is the one labeled in white on the chart itself. This is a TS nuance...

Your time axis is showing September and the price is a few hundred points higher than my NQ futures charts, even on your daily chart.

Hi Spiro. Not sure what is going on. My NQ price in TS matches the quote on another feed. I am using the continuous contract symbol. Is everything else working normally for you?
