Is lubricant a necessity for shooting?
Just what I needed thank you. How long does a lubed cartridge last in storage before needing additional lubricant?
As long as it's stored in a dry and generally cool place it should in theory last for indefinitely, if it's a tallow mix it could in theory go rancid but I don't think that would affect performance.
Do you need to use it to shoot in general? I have brown bess and never once used patches or lube, just powder,ball and paper.

A very good video, thank you for sharing. This design is so much easier to do than the later Boxer pattern cartridges for the P-53 that I usually do, and I may just switch for regular casual shooting.
