How did u get a GT grill I been looking and I hate that I have to put an lx grill on my 95 GT

Is this a 2.0L 16v engine.? This would have been an RS 2000. In the UK but it looked a bit different.

This is known as the Ford Laser in Australia. Bumpers and grille covering are different.

Awesome story! I can relate to your story mate I grew up in the UK and escorts where extremely popular and I had found my childhood hero a ford escort xr3i convertible which I had it imported to Phoenix so not that far from you cheers on your escort mate.

Cool video man, I love when people have attachments to random cars and to hear the story of why. Also it must be so nice to not live in the rust belt 😂 there would be nothing left of that car where I live unless it was kept in a garage and never see salt.

I currently own 2 '99 35th anniversary GT Convertibles, both are stock, apart from borlas and flowmasters- they have 5 speeds. My silver GT has 49,880 original miles and my performance red GT has 118,750 original miles. A few summers ago, my wife, son and I took a road trip to Niagara falls and had a blast. Only issue, the main belt broke in Cleveland but found a shop and were back on the road to Texas.

Just picked up a convertible 35th. Im so stoked

I had a red Escort 1.8 Si in the late 90's and it was one of my favourite cars as my Dad's 1st car when I was a boy in the late 60's was the 1st Escort in the North East of Scotland. I was also lucky enough to get to drive an Escort Cosworth in the earl 2000's so I have had an affinity with Ford all through life ending so far with a Fiesta ST 180.

those front 'clear' corner light/signals are a hot item for 'scortheads'. They're from the mercury tracer some escorts been v6 swap. Probe KL motor

I need fuses on my ford escort the fuses are missing and fuel pump don’t hum and dashboard lights aren’t working also there is lot of fuse probs lot of people damage my car cuz they think it’s not working and they think it abonden and they broken my back tail light which isn’t available in my country cuz it only one ford escort gt I got and also they tried to open car door by damaging door

I’m surprised you found so many in wrecking years. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but my friend had the Mercury topaz which was basically very similar, but it had a 3.0 V6 with a five speed and it was really quick. Did any of the escorts have a six-cylinder or were they all fours?

I have 1995 Ford Escort LX 5-door Hatchback and I need to remove the front two door panels to replace the 30 year old factory door speakers. Assuming this is close to (if not exactly) the same process. Where did you get the door panel clip remover?

That’s really cool. It’s neat you have the original posting pictures. I love the factory 35th wheels, and those floor mats are cool. Indeed very hard to find. That’s crazy the hose blew. Glad it wasn’t too bad of a fix. The new water pump and radiator will be nice to not worry about. If I have an intake manifold problem again I’ll probably try to steal Justin’s bullitt manifold

I love your escort.. mines beat up from hell. it was passed down to me from my father. mine is also a 1993 ford escort gt and I have 2 12" subs in the back. i'm about to mod a lot of stuff under the hood and then fix the outside body and lower it about 2.5"-3".. Please could you leave me a link somewhere that I can buy bumpers that will fit the '93 ford escort gt.

i have 2 egt's one is a 91 automatic with a electric sunroof and the other is a 94 5 spd i am in the process of swapping the trans over to the 91 because the engine in the 94 has a blown head gasket plus i want to drive my 91 because of the sunroof. i blew my automatic trans over 2 yrs ago and i just now found this 94 to use for donor parts. the 91 set up for two years periodically being cranked up though before today it hasnt been cranked in a year or very close to a year. when i put a hot battery she fired up just fine. love these cars.

95gtscort i found new fog light for my Escort GT they came brand new from the dealership from a 1995-1998 ford explore limited edition and the use the same light bulb and frame and its basically a Escort GT for light feel free to buy some new fog lights for your Escort GT :) reply and let me know

I myself have looked for a set for my car and the only place you'll find them is either from a Ford dealership that will charge an arm and a leg or from a junk yard where you'll probably only find a poorly kept set. You should check ebay periodically.

Hold on to it. My '95 GT has 244,000 miles and going strong. It's by far the most reliable little engine ever. The only thing I ever had to replace was the lifters and that was only because some idiot mechanic slammed the pedal to the floor when working on it one day.Good luck with it.
