The Fire Pilot. Flew my first test flight last Thursday. The Aspen 2500 is everything Scott says it is. I am very impressed. I pretty much had a plan of how I wanted to run the displays. They are bright, fast, and full of information. Planning on a final acceptance flight next week. Aspen integrates will with Avidyne and the NGT9000. Hopefully, the interface software for the STEC3100 will be out by September.
M C that’s exactly what I wanted to know. We have the IFD440 for now. Do you find the thirds display useful or is it just “nice” to have?
The Fire Pilot. My concept is to run the MFD500 full screen as a true MFD and cycle between Wx, terrain, traffic, and charts. The MFD1000 I use for the NAV map full screen. Might even use the SV not sure yet. So, yes I see the third screen as something I will use. I like having charts right in front of me as I am committed to fly with no iPad mini.
