Steelwheel corner 2nd annual Labor Day car show!
you have some really really cool ideas. Well made. I’m going to be watching your channel for certain thank you so much. Didn’t know what a pipe Anvil 👍could be used for now. I do thank you.
Brilliant man thank you for sharing . palm my forhead perfect rocker all; around keep it up PEACE!!
Come on dude. Five minutes in and you still haven't shown me shit. Get over Carl and just show me what you got. I didn't cone here to here about Carl. Great 8 minutes in now and you still haven't shown me shit. Forget it, I'll go watch fitzy's fabrication. Have a good day.
Fitzee fabricating was the first pipe anvil I recall. Terrific you tuber 30 years experience. Check him out. Your design has a lot of great features too. Thanks for sharing. Your projects look pretty slick.
Isn't that what tinner molds are for? 6' 8' and 10' Or just radius on the brake?
You suck at making videos
Wow that’s some good ideas! Some good additions in comments too. Thanks for sharing this
You need to look up 'editing'.
Great tips 👌
This is great info on the pipe anvil for me, so I can build one for myself.
That is a great hat. I feel the same way.
I'm thinking soften the edges a bit.....I really like the form your own from steel . Good post. Carl is amazing as you say.
Ger 'er done!
Your best video by far. Well thought out 👍
@@hickeyskustomresto thank you
Hang in there brother. That ptsd is pesky sob. Thanks for your service. And thanks for sharing your cool projects, enjoying your content
Looking forward to seeing your modified pipe anvil video !!
I'm old school a little older than you. I'm so tired of hearing the word hack everything is a hack these days. Talk old school we can relate better. Enjoy your videos keep up the good work.
A whole lot less expensive than a sheet metal roller
Nice work!
The way I make my forms is goto harbor freight and purchase a cheap plung router and whichever size bead you want, clamp a straight edge along side of where you want the bead to act as a guide for the router base. Now your beads will be straight as an arrow with a radius at each end. You can purchase router bits off the shelf from 1/8 to 1". I also use the same bits to mill my aluminum AR-15 lower receiver
I want that hat!!!!
@@Grams-t5g i plan on selling them once i set my an online store up.
New subscriber and like you I would love to purchase all the tools made by Karl but I am retired. The money just isn't there. I was thinking maybe the upper 2 pieces could be made of MDF for sharper edges or maybe Lexan (not cheap). It might be more practical using the above materials on dies that could be used over and over. Just a thought. Also a wood router might be usable for cutting the shapes, The only expense is the different bits. I have seen decent routers at thrift stores, Habitat, etc. for reasonable money. I am sure there would be ways to improve your concepts thanks for turning on the my thinking cap. Great first try and keep up the cost effective work for those of use on a budget.
Great job. Thank you 😊
Clever !
Your close enough you could have put bearings in the tubes with chain and sprockets and made a roller.
That's a great design! Where are you in TN? I'm west of Nashville
South East TN. Between Chattanooga and Knoxville
I was fortunate enough to get the design from Gene himself 👍 every one that makes one always say there gonna build another one. That’s how great this is to build and use!!! Good video my friend.
Fantastic idea thanks for sharing
Thanks for your helpful video
Nice hat, I hate PUNKS
Thank you
Thanks for the info
Steal an ides from pipe benders to make thar uniform bend
Well that settles the fate of about a third of my old pipe rack. Got some 6" and 15" heavy casing. Also larger pieces but about a foot shorter than what you've got there. Looks fun to use.
Check out "Fitzee's Fabrications for simple pipe anvil to do door skins and other stuff for repairs. Like your designs

Awesome, theres a good reason to build a bigger shop for me.
First time hearing of a pipe anvil, that’s really cool. Thanks for sharing
I've always wondered why i hadn't seen anyone put a full length pivot point like this. Nice job!!!
That's pretty cool
Can you put a slot in each of the end brackets so the pipe can be adjusted closer to the other pipe?
@@davidwatt73340 i dont see why you couldnt
That’s an awesome design I’ve been wanting to build one for some time I’m going to add to your design by putting a bar across from handle to handle so you can stand in the middle and pull down so your not stretching your arms out and maybe add some adjustment holes in the end where it bolts to the 3” pipe and one other thought about putting a cross piece across the legs so you could stand on it i guess you could come up with all kinds of modifications
Wow. That’s really damn near a perfect setup. Like you said about the little changes. I plan on making my own with your changes. Thanks for the tips! You got another sub.
That's a very cool hack. I'll have to modify mine. I like the roller pipe idea. Also if you made to side mounts longer you could mount it on the larger pipe or even the smaller pipe. The flat bar could have multiple holes for each diameter.
Thats a very good description of how to make a pipe bending machine and one done fairly cheaply. Keep coming up with these ideas.
Great tip. Thanks for sharing. 👍
That roll came out nice , what gauge is that sheet metal ? Thanks
@@michaelhallas6450 18gauge
use pcv pipe over your tube
I like your addition to the anvil. You could use polished bar stock, say from a food conveyor belt. And maybe drill out the ends and fit bearings? I need to roll out about four foot by three foot diameter to fix a milk churn for a friends wife. Also have to do repairs to the top. This would work fine. Cheers thanks for sharing.
I hate people. I drink whiskey. I know things. Thats what I do.
Hack #27...wrap major pipe anvil with 'moving blankets' - those thick padded ones - with enough layers to increase the effective diameter and forming ability. Hack #27b....drape the moving blanket over the sheet being bent - stops the scratching. Hack #89....keep moving blankets clean - for those late night work sessions and or, when you get kicked out the house.
