Would you consider singing this piece as a 2024 Halloween special? From Mozart’s “Bastien und Bastienne” the unusual Aria “Diggi, daggi, schurry, murry". Mozart composed it when he was 10yo. The words are made up. Only the Latin “quid pro quo” has a meaning. Otherwise, it’s total gibberish - what fun it is though! Perfect piece for Halloween. There’s a youtube video sung by a boy soprano (Vienna Boy soloist) with the music score. Anyway, just an idea.

Wow Max. That was gorgeous and your unaccompanied opening was brilliant. When trebles go off key they tend to go slightly sharp but you were pitch perfect. That's says so much about how good you are. I love your voice and the effortless way you sing. Congratulations on a great performance.

It's fascinating to hear two young male voices at different stages of development singing together like this. Do you know the work of Ernest Lough? It's almost a century ago now, but here is a remarkable duet he recorded with a colleague from the Temple Choir in London. I really thought you’d won, going by my own impression, but also the reactions and comments from the judges. All the finalists were, of course, very good, but for me, yours was best performance of all the six, juniors and seniors.
