I really love MARTY tables he has mad some really fun and awesome tables over the years thanks for the video.... I'm going to try out pizza time
the input lag looks awful
Lag is constantly measured by the software, averages about 1-2 mili seconds….it’s not perceivable in person. I have a large collection of real machines and wouldn’t even bother to play virtual pinball if lag was an issue.
awe man Turbo Grafx 16 I thought I imagined that system. my brother bought it and I played that motorcycle game for hours.
Turbo Grafx is a classic system, never got as big as Nintendo or Sega but hey made some cool games regardless
hmm did you kill your parents to buy this arcade?
You don’t wanna know what I had to do to afford that machine lol
good to see some of the games available.
What was your total wait time in the Vpin ?
I waited 9 months for mine including shipping time, but I hear it’s currently about 2 years unless you pay for an expedited build spot. That’s why I’d say you’re better off to build one yourself rather than wait 2 years.
Sometime it would be super cool to see your current collection 🤤 Only if you want obviously !
I wish I had the proper space to show off all the machines, the game room has turned into more of a storage space these days #pinballhoarder
Wow. Freaking amazing dude
Thanks a ton!
Thanks man. Just subbed. Is the realism of visual and gameplay better than what you have seen on Ultra VP? I’m trying to decide between the two machines.
I thanks for the sub…… honestly I would just get a flat pack cabinet and build it yourself. It’s way cheaper and if you want to add the latest and greatest tables your going to need how to learn the software anyways…..plus there is an all in one install program that makes it easy. There are lots of video guides from the ground up, every step of the way. That being said to answer your question it all comes down to the quality of monitor, pc and video card used….software can also play a part. 4K machines have to be running on at least 120hz screen (perferrably a monitor)to get the most realistic ball motion/movements. 60hz just doesn’t cut it for the proper 4k experience. It all comes down to choice, if you want the best build commercial cab you get XGC machine but you have to wait, RRW are an expensive, lesser option but without the wait time. Personally I just don’t like their cabinets, they are much bigger than a real wide body pinball machine, feels like a franken pin with my arms spread too far apart while playing…..but I own a lot of machines so maybe I’m notice it more since it’s not standard or wide body size…..more like XX wide body lol
Thanks for the awesome reply that helps a ton. Thanks for all the great vids you have an INSANELY cool collection
Is that an Ultra VP 6.0?
No it’s from Xtreme Gaming Cabinets out of Australia
Gotcha. It looks amazing. Do you think it’s better (realism) than the ultra vp? I assume so bc you bought it 😂
@@007bondson1 well mine is a 2-n-1 cabinet ….but comparing both companies premium packages currently the XGC machine is the better machine just comparing components, build quality & software. XGC cabinets are built in house with buyers choice of materials where as RRW are pre fabricated oversized Chinese cabinets that they spec’d afterwards. I always prefer built in house from the ground up….that being said XGC wait times are so ridiculous these days I would just build my own rather than wait 1-2 years for a vpin.
Thanks!
How do I get one ??!!
Join the Facebook group, “Virtual Pinball and Minis Fan Club” and message the builder Scott Sloan……that’s how I got mine.
@Major_Drain yea, I put that in Facebook group search but it's not coming up. 😥
@@saintsinister8597 i just checked the page, its still there, even comes up with a google search.
The virtual version is very close, only major difference for me is the ball image. It has no chrome effect on VPX. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching, it feels very similar playing them back to back but this table could definitely use an overhaul visually especially with updated LUT lighting options.
Nice, I see Blood Machines at the top, did you try our new original table Die Hard Trilogy? I was the layout designer on both and the team was fairly similar, pretty sure you will have fun!
Yes I’ve Flipped Die Hard a few times, need to spend more time on it but it’s got fun shots and interesting modes. Really feels like a classic Data East table, great job on the layout! The lack of right outlane takes some getting used to but still challenging to shoot. Since I made this video there have been lots of new original PX tables, Blood Machines and Die Hard would still be in my top 5 tho. Thank you for your help in creating these fun tables for the community, it’s not said enough but we appreciate all the hard work and hours you devs put in!
@@Major_Drain Thanks a lot!
Great gameplay and camera angles! Thanks Dodd
i would guess the second joysticks (you removed) were for game like Smash TV or Karate champ. in theory you could use the P3 & P1 sticks for p1 and P2 + P4 sticks for p2 - however given their position and orientation it'd likely be horrible. The extra spinners... the one with the flight stick might be for Tron & the one to the far left might be for Forgotten worlds. the original had a fire button in the spinner, but he's got some buttons in close proximity. I think what strikes me most from your video is the lack of care in the software. I know what is involved in setting up Hyperspin etc from scratch and there is a fair bit to do, however it looks like they have nicked a load of stuff off the internet and not given it a cohesive look. for example the wheel are not in one universal form. different people have made different system artwork and they have just cobbled it all together. That might be okay for some, but i think it should have a uniform look, not some logos framed in circles, others in rectangles and some just lazily slapped in all at different sizes. Maybe they should concentrate on quality, rather than just slapping any old stuff in to sound like you are getting "value". in addition they weren't arsed to make the bezels fit properly. Look at your Dig Dug, you can see the emulator frame and the play area is partially hidden behind the fake bezel. I get that people will tell you how to fix, but you might have been better off creating your own hyperspin build. I see this is an old video, perhaps they have improved their software builds by now. Might be worth asking if you can have a newer version? Nevertheless having said that, i don't want to piss on your purchase. it looks quite good.
okay i see Dig Dug was ruined after you removed the bezel and replaced 24:14
Great video. Thanks for the strategy. Time to go play some Addams Family .
Thanks for watching, hope it helps!
Major, just awesome , you are such a good player, love your live streams as well 🎉
Thanks for watching Tony, I tune into your streams whenever I see you on., always a fun time!
Awesome multi cam video AND explaining the modes while playing (killer saves!)!! Here in AZ they have this Iron Maiden pinball at Electric Bat Arcade -Tempe, it's the only one I play for now! \m/ 21:52 I had the same reaction watching this! haha, Salud!
I’ve heard great things about that place, that’s cool you’ve got one close by that you can play. I fumbled that one pretty badly haha, that’s pinball! Thanks for watching
This your real medieval Pin?
This is on my vpin,…..score submissions for a weekly virtual league, 1 quarter challenge!
Flippers so weak you can't hit anything
That’s exactly what it felt like playing it. Cool call outs and animations, interesting modes but feels awful to shoot.
It’s amazing how close the digital is to the analog nowadays. I’m sure this one was a top shelf digital version. I’d love one for the practice before our Pinball Club. 👍
The most updated VPX tables are even more convincing with the increased depth from newer camera angles and improved 3d rendering. Vpins are really good for learning rule sets and developing strategies
Might be a dumb question, but is there a virtual machine I can buy somewhere with Medieval Madness already on it?
Yes arcade 1up has that in the attack from Mars bundle….. but I would recommend getting an ATgames legend and running free VPX software thru a computer linked to the vpin cabinet. You can get all the classic games like medieval madness and many newer titles as well.
thank you and been learning the game on my new machine. Super fun and very challenging pinball for a beginner like myself!
Congrats on the new machine! I know the feeling, Maiden was my first machine….definitely an advanced layout for a beginner but so much fun once you understand the rules and dial in the shots.
agree and I am just focus on basic ball control and skill development and do ok. Started with low score now up to 80 million as best game so far after day of practice@@Major_Drain
Hello again it's me Earl I really want to know more about the megacade XL is it the best and better version of the megacade do the video game e mulatorwork better on the megacade XL
Unless it’s changed, the only difference between the XL Megacade is the active marquee, the software and games are the same on both models. The system is way more reliable with the new Launch Box front end compared to Hyperspin.
Hello it's me Earl I'm planning on buying a megacade XL arcade machine I heard it's the top of the line megacade XL model I want to know do the megacade XL version videos games emulator work better on this version than the standard version of the megacade
Hey at least you were having fun! That's what counts! Totally enjoy your Pinball video!
The greatest pinball machine of all the World!!! I have every Stern machine Spike-2 and Spike-1, this game and 60-th are absolutely phenomenal
Good to know you can stack Triple Knights with Catapult, if you can get that perfect timing lol
The trick is to use the ball save time and drain out intentionally once you start triple knights challenge so you get the auto feed back up to the upper playfield,……gives you a good chance for the stack, especially if you already have 1-2 balls locked.
Awesome, looks a great game. I’ve just ordered a premium. Can’t wait
The layout has amazing flow when you dial in the shots but can be brutal if your off.
@@Major_Drainthanks. I look forward to putting some games into it
Your audio is trash...
Well, for me virtual reality pinball beats real pinball and virtual pinball hands down. It's the best of both worlds. It's in true 3D which virtual pinball lacks, but it also have animations which real pinball lacks.
Played this one today. It was so much fun! 👍👍
After building a full size virtual machine with all of the toys (DOF Solenoids, shaker, knocker, and 7.1 SSF), I rented a real "Attack From Mars" for two months. Very shortly found that I prefer playing my virtual machine. But that's just me - I like the haptic feedback a bit loud. My goal in building the virtual machine was not to make it like a real machine - but to make it better.
I definitely prefer a real physical machine over a virtual table….. but a we’ll done table (like VPW versions) gives me 75% of the satisfaction of playing the real thing, close enough in most cases.
stumbled on another great dodd video, this was so cool
I’m lucky to have found one still in the box, thanks for watching my man👍🏼
The greatest thing i like about virtual pinball is the number of tables withou the need for more space.
Yeah that’s one of my favorite aspects of virtual as well, especially for EMs as I don’t want to waste the valuable space in my game room but still enjoy playing them.
It's driving me nuts I can't get scared stiff to run smoothly. It's pretty much the only table that lag like crazy when things trigger and multiball hit. Any ideas?
What version are you playing? I have a version that stutters pretty bad on my cab but the Mikcab_Mod and BigusMod versions run smoothly. Maybe try reducing the texture rate from unlimited in VPX preferences, sometimes there can be bottle neck there.
@@Major_Drain Ok I will check that out, for me it's been all of them lagging more or less. The best one was actually the newly released nude version. It have the least amount of lag but not smooth like other tables. I wonder do I have to choose from only those 3 texture options or can I adjust it more manually? There is one around 3k, then 2k and then last around 1k or unlimited. It seem a bit strange that 3k is highest then unlimited is the next choice. Where is 4k, 6k, 8k, 10k etc? Unlimited = infinity is a big step from 3k lol. Thanks for your help, I will test this 3k, I just hope it won't make the game look bad. It definitely seem to suck resources in a strange way. FPS going from 350 Down to 30 all over the place. Must be a problem with the tables lights in general because most of the lag comes in with the announcing guy and I guess the lights that trigger with him is what trigger the lag. Same with multiball or getting that early coffin multiball. Back to testing all tables again and tweak settings, cheers!
IT pinball was out after your video but for me it's an easy number one now.
Yeah It’s a really fun table with great lighting effects…..did they ever fix the issue with leaking memory on this table? ….would always freeze up deep into the game
@@Major_Drain I must admit I haven't been further than 1st wizard mode (4 children rescued). All was ok for me so far.
Any chance you could do this with Cyclone?
Unfortunately I don’t own a real cyclone machine to compare.
How happy are you with this unit?
Pretty happy especially after they added another 40 courses and online play!
Thanks. Finally have one coming to Canada 🇨🇦. No online for us up here but happy to get the unit. Thanks for the feedback.

Scott's creations are awesome! I have also one Mini Pinball made by him,..with a functional coin dor (actually it can be opened ) Its a CENTAUR Mini Pinball ---> ua-cam.com/users/shortsPEntScxaPyA?feature=share
Which one would you say is more fun.
The real machine is much harder and more fun but it is crazy expensive when the virtual table gives you the same vibe for free.
Ever tried Zen Pinball 2 on PS3... on a 3DTV.. looks pretty real.. it's amazing too...
Yes indeed I have Zen Pinball FX3 on my virtual pinball cabinet, they have some fun original tables.
Iron commando
Gorgeous machine. Would be amazing if you held your phone sideways for video recording.
Click on the full screen…..using vertical layout is superior to wide angle for pinball videos, it let’s you see all the action as close as possible comparatively.
incomparable!
Very comparable actually.
Hey Mr Dodd, I sense a love hate relationship with that table :) First time I have seen that table in play, looks great and now know why its in the top 100. I was watching for all the flipper skill shots you do and use to see what is possible on a vpin. You (as usual) nailed them all, but does the physics of most vpin tables allow you do things like micro flip/pass and live catch? Pity there isn't a vpin table released that is just a training table for flipper save/capture shots, unless there is and I haven't found it yet. thanks again mate !
Haha yeah this particular table is extremely frustrating with the auto plunge during multiball, or auto drain as it should be called! I’m sure there are settings that can be adjusted but since it was for league play I had to play it as is. It has some fun shots and the rules are easy to learn but deep enough to keep you coming back for more. Most newer tables have live catches coded in but on many of the older VPX tables it wasn’t possible…..yes you can also tap pass. That is a good idea to have an advanced training table with all the latest flipper maneuvers coded in just for practice. You could make your own but not sure how easy it is to import/code all the flipper physics. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
There appears to be a flaw in the VPX recreation for this table. The Ringmaster is supposed to register hits when you hit it. If you look at the test report, it complains about an "eddy switch". I think the eddy current activation from the bottom collar is not recreated properly in the VPX game. Set A.2 46 to "NO" and it will behave the way its supposed to
I kind of prefer the way it’s setup currently, makes it a bit more challenging and fun but I could see why people would want the whole head activated. This makes the ring master strategy even more lucrative being able to easily stay in that mode with hits to the ring master.
Thanks for these videos dani dodd really cool vids and you make pinball look easy haha … my XGC machine getting close so I’ll be sure watching these videos again 😎👍🏻
Thank you, I appreciate all the feedback and support! Hopefully I can help out any players who are struggling with the rules/strategy. Your XGC machine is going to have all the coolest new toys and features, let us know when it arrives!
