For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? - Revelation 6:17 Before the great day of the wrath of the Lamb ( 2nd coming) occurs- two wraths occur before. The Wrath of Satan ( Rev. 12:12 ) - the work of destruction by the evil angels permitted by God. The Wrath of God ( Rev. 14:10; Chapter 16 ) - outpouring of the 7 last plagues by Holy Angels. In Revelation chapter 7 is the answer to who shall stand during this duration of wraths. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. KJV - Revelation 7:4 They have not one evil propensity. There is no imperfections of character. - Revelation 14:1-5 They stand when the earth, sea, and trees ( nature ) are hurt to the utmost - …fearful convulsions of nature as described in GC 614.3. The next chapter reveals this hurting of nature ( the earth, the sea, and the trees ). Presented in symbolic and literal language the living saints stand when the third part of trees are burnt up ( literally)and all green grass is burnt up ( literally where this destruction occurs on earth ). Revelation 8:7 …the third part of the sea became blood ( literally). - Revelation 8:8 …the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed ( literally)- Revelation 8:9 …the third part of the rivers, and the fountains of waters become wormwood (poisonous - drinking water - literally) Revelation 10, 11. …and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.. KJV - Revelation 8:11 - much death but a lot more is to come. Since mankind has been prone to worship these things - …the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise ( literally) - Revelation 8:12 Since it is repetitive in using a third, this is the work of the evil angels as described in GC 614.2 - The same destructive power exercised by holy angels when God commands, will be exercised by evil angels when He permits. There are forces now ready, and only waiting the divine permission, to spread desolation everywhere. Remember, in the Third Heaven the Devil took one third. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven,. - Revelation 12:4 Heaven permits them to work destruction in a third during the time of trouble for a while. The 7 Angels with the 7 trumpets will blow in their final fulfillment and the earth, sea, and trees ( nature ) will be extremely hurt and many, many, many will die. …The seven angels stood before God to receive their commission. To them were given seven trumpets. The Lord was going forth to punish the inhabitants of the earth.... . Mar 284.6 Those who honor the law of God have been accused of bringing judgments upon the world, and they will be regarded as the cause of the fearful convulsions of nature and the strife and bloodshed among men that are filling the earth with woe…GC 614.3 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! . KJV - Revelation 8:13 1st Woe - culmination of Satan’s Wrath and his impersonation of Christ. Can’t kill anymore but allowed to torment those who have not the seal of God. Now those that have the seal of God will be tested by him because he has an accurate record of their sins and using this in this case he torments the 144,000 ( Jacob’s time of Trouble). 2nd Woe - the Wrath of God be will be poured out in the 7 last plagues which kill a third of the population upon the earth at this time. Rev. 9:20 says these are plagues. The symbolism found in verse 18 is the same are in Rev. 14:10,11 which is the wine of the wrath of God - 7 last plagues. This done by the Heavenly Angels. 3rd Woe - the great day of the wrath of the Lamb. Some unrighteous stand during the wrath of Satan and the wrath of God because they are not universal, but the 2nd coming of Christ is ( Rev. 1:7 ). Rev. 11:15 - the sounding of the seventh trumpet is the 2nd coming. At the coming of Christ the wicked are blotted from the face of the whole earth-consumed with the spirit of His mouth and destroyed by the brightness of His glory…GC 657.1 Thy right hand, O God, shall dash in pieces Thine enemies. Revelation 6 and 7 are full of meaning. Terrible are the judgments of God revealed. The seven angels stood before God to receive their commission. To them were given seven trumpets. The Lord was going forth to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth was to disclose her blood and no more cover her slain. Give the description in chapter 6.. 15MR 219.2 Isaiah 26:21 has not been fulfilled and it will be fulfilled by the seven trumpets blowing in final fulfillment - the earth, the sea, the trees ( nature ) will be hurt and the earth shall disclose her blood and no more cover her slain - many men will die ( Rev. 8:11 ) and a third of the then population will eventually die from the 7 last plagues ( Rev. 9:15,18). The rest will surely die from the great day of the wrath of the Lamb. And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day..
