In June 2021 I found my Yanmar Oil Feed Pipe part number 128270-39200 had a pin hole where it had rusted through I took it to a local hydraulic hose repair shop where they made me a new stainless steel braided hose one for less than half price it is still going strong 2 years later still looks like new I also fitted a outboard fuel bulb to help when bleeding the diesel system.

what a fraudulent video, the injector was already loose lol. What if they are stuck in?
That is the way I took them out but the first take was not very clear and went out of focus so I put them back in to film it again.
What a waste video and no help
This video was a lot of help, I put it up for an advert and it helped me sell it.
What about on a siezed 3GM?
What is siezed? if it is the pistons in the cylinder then just unbolt the cylinder head and try a bit of heat and oil/WD40 on the pistons + cylinders, you may be lucky
Great advice, especially as I was about to try the method mentioned in the other videos :) Thanks for posting
Looks like fun!
It was but I am now selling it
Hi, did you notice if the deck is 100% fiberglass or if it's wood laminated between the fiberglass?
Thats "Guy Cotten" weather.. North Sea doing its usual horrib E act. Keep it up pal, keep it up!!😂
🖖🏴☠️⛵
What, no arseholes walking on the harbour wall believing they’re invincible, when in fact they are just mad 😂
And they also think there Superman Indestructible unbreakable.
This is genius
rake a course
One of these came up for sale near me in the US recently. I have been so tempted.
Is it just me observing the injector clamps incorrectly installed to start with? Shouldn't it be the level side be upwards?
Yes you are right, I took them out but the first take was not very clear so I put them back in to film it again and in my rush the clamps are fitted upside down
except for when the seal is leaking, it won't develop enough compression.
you have so many better boats in the uk as here in Baylinerville, the USA. Dang.
Have you bought her Shaun, always been fascinated by the Nomad and the Windrush….there’s a lot of work though cheers Tony
No I have not bought her, I am giving her away facebook.com/marketplace/item/746453623477541/?ref=category_feed&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A024a5af6-c51d-46c4-9bac-7ed6ade8efe9
Won't be fishing of the Head in that lot!! Double up mooring lines.
Well done Shaun, most helpful. That opening now appears to be well established, is it still possible to enter the Haven from the North past the beach and the fitties wall/groynes?
Hi Simon. you can come in the old way ( I would not) but only with a big high tide and a shallow draught.
Standing at the end of the pier in those conditions probably not safe. Good video.
Considering that injector was loose already and moving when you were loosening the hold down nuts, yeah that was extremely easy. I have 3 cyl yanmar and they were rusted and carbonized in. Slide hammer wouldn't phase them. Until I applied oxy/acetylene heat to head. This was after a month of penetrating oil soaking. Now, they're out and cleaned up as well as the hole they go in and yes now compression would blow them loose. Sometimes it's not so easy.
That is the way I took them out but the first take was not very clear so I put them back in to film it again
@@sanyiaz I understand. Great video. Thanks.
Dang I need an oxy setup. My tractor was woefully neglected and they're siezed in there bad. I have a leak at the base of one injector. I honestly think it's a cracked head. Maybe I better leave it alone because it does run...
a 600 series should be as far away from sea water as possible
Hola donde conseguir piesas de yanmar 2QM20
Genius simple and easy thanks
Nice day for it. All good with the engine? Subbed, btw....
Yes it was a nice day for it, a bit more smoke than I would've liked but going OK Mike
@@sanyiaz Could be a multitude of things, Shaun, most easily remedied....
Poetry in motion......👌
What’s wrong with that?
Thanks for posting this - timing couldn't have been better.. about to attempt this for the first time on my 2GM20.
I'd recommend gloves as GF splinters are NASTY!!!!
Thank you for your help getting her loaded Sean, much appreciated 👍⛵️
Love good old UK diving
My father in law was aboard the ship when it sank, we showed him this clip one night and he cried, he remembered the ship in its hayday and we was wondering if there was any chance to get a copy of the full dive?

If only one could start a club site for people who want to GIVE their boats away because too old in their eyes or just want to get rid of it, I have just been given a westerley 22 by a very kind man as well as two outboard motors and a large inflatable , I was and am still excited to get the sailing boat up and running into the water, their must be many old boats laying around boat yards just waiting for people to once again own them probably boat yards are not getting monthly fee's for them either as owner may be dead or living in another country and just lost interest in his old hobby, same for caravans up and down the country rotting away slowly, I am looking for a trailer now to take my sail boat home to work on it , hope to one day.
Really sorry to see that! If I couldn't find the keel that dropped off, I'd probably just take off the other one, glass over the stubs and throw an outboard on the back. That thing would have made a great mini-motor cruiser. I'm currently starting on a major refit on a Westerly I've owned for over 10 years. They're slow(er) than modern fin keels, but they're stable as hell and can take a pounding from the sea. I'm going to re-rig mine as a gaff-rigger with ratlines running up the mast. (I got "spoiled" by gaff-rigs from sailing my steel schooner for too many years.)
The westerly centaur keel spread then it fell off and the boat sank, we still have both keels the owner did try to sell it with a £5 start price but failed so he abandoned it, the club did try to give it away but we had no takers and we needed the space as it is in our carpark.
@@sanyiaz Oh, I can understand the necessity of regaining the space -- even the expense of trying to turn it back into a workable boat. It's just sad to see one go like that -- especially when I think of the many days and nights and even scary storms my Centaur carried me though. For one guy or a couple they're really the "just right" boat. And, there's plenty of room for adding friends if going out for a day sail.
Why?

@@sanyiaz that is so sad, I would love to have had a go at fixing her up. That is an opportunity lost, now I have my thinking cap on.
Sad to see, I try to keep mine floating :-)
Hi, it's John from EDP24.co.uk here. Could we use your video on our website please? Thanks
Yes
interested in this. my great grandfather was Master of the Alice Taylor, though not necessarily at the time of her loss. i possess an oil painting of this vessel, family heirloom. ancestor's name was Cpt. Scott.
My grandfather, John Sidney Burrage was Second Officer on this vessel. I recently read the court report. It makes for very sad reading.
Excellent video really enjoyed it thanks for uploading. I was shocked how clear the water was I live in great yarmouth.
Do you really NEED to keep getting hold of the coral to steady yourself?
No but I am on the wreck looking for things
The Xanthe Great Yarmouth BSAC wreck dive Sea Palling 2013 sank after a collision in 1869 32 mtrs deep 4 mtrs viz. Bedford club was also there.
No, that's a consequence of overfishing
not many fish?
sorry correction, just thought about it and we slept aft
By the way the Corchester was not the only Cory ship with accomodation in the forcastle the Cormul did also
Yes very interesting, and thanks for the link to the book, coincidently when I worked for Taylor Diving in the early 70s we were diving off bacton , I never thought the Corchester was laying in the vicinity (small world)
Such a sad event, I hope you found the video of some interest.
an article titled "Last voyage of the Corchester" written by G R Ney. The article details the events leading up to the incident, the rescue and closure. The Corchester was skippered by Capt George Northcott, the Corchester was the only Cory ship to have accom in the focastle and the City of Sydney sliced through her at No1 hold wiping out everything fwd of there. Six crew members where killed in that area. Also lost from the main hull were the fourth engineer and steward.
We got the survivors on board, they only had there sleeping gear on, so we gave them what clothing we could spare. I left that ship shortly after that and went deep sea, I had very little clothing left and had to borrow a coat to go on watch with which earned me the name “Schooner rigged coaster man” I am from Gt Yarmouth and it was a coincidence happening as we were passing that part of the coast. Philip Winterburn
Their lifeboat got him aboard about 10 mins. later but he had been to long exposed to the freezing weather with only a vest on and he died as we got him aboard our ship, one of their crew told me he was the Chief Steward and had been in the company for 25 years and this was to be his last trip, He was sleeping amidships and must have waked up and felt the boat tipping and jumped into the water not knowing the lifeboat was on the other side of the ship.
