Clear Goals Make Tough Conversations Easier
My key take away is, honest conversations about performance are essential for the team to succeed. This is all about being open and supportive so that we can keep improving, both individually and as a team, to reach our goals. I am really grateful to Terrell and Lola for setting a good example. #Honestconversations
Not Terrell boasting about us to his peers 😅
Honest Conversations / Communication .... Perfect for the month of love 😁. I'll be honest, this is a delicate one for me but I'm grateful for the good example you've set Terrell and how consistent you are with encouraging us with this. Got my AGE Chart yesterday ... Let's see how this month goes.
Great message! I love the focus on client success and how our work directly impacts not just businesses, but their employees and communities. The reminder to align our efforts with client goals is powerful-it's not just about completing tasks but truly adding value.
Great message! I love how this highlights the team’s core values while recognizing real contributions. It’s motivating to see how clarity, teamwork, and communication directly impact success. Shoutout to Leo, Lola, and Jeremy for leading by example!
This was a great wrap-up of January’s focus on clarity! I appreciate the emphasis on understanding what matters most to our clients and continuously aligning our efforts with their success. The challenge to ask, “How is this helping our clients reach their goals?” is a powerful mindset shift for 2025!
This was very good content thank you for the video! I found you from course careers I’m actually going to be starting the accounting course in a couple of weeks. I am definitely going to apply this strategy as I go through the course.
Thanks for stopping by to share your kinds words and feedback, we try to take lessons from our real-world situations to help others so we are very glad that this helped you. The accounting course was a huge honor to create and help others explore a new potential career path so we are proud of that too. All the best in the course
Thank you for this Terrell. You are correct, there are things we are doing today that we definitely need to reevaluate through the lens of this question "How does this add value to our client?" definitely something I intend to make a practice on the accounting side going forward. Excited for where we are going as a team in 2025! It is going to be great - we will thrive and our clients will thrive too :)
Shoutout to Jeremy for displaying the core values and communicating with the team to make sure everyone was aware he would be out! #teamturner
Thank you for this, Terrell! I can say that it's easy to get lost in our day to day tasks, but asking how our work adds value to clients is the key! Welcome to the team, Olive!
Thank you so much Terrell! Great video! As the Client Success Lead, my big takeaway is that we need to always keep our clients’ goals at the center of everything we do. It’s all about making sure we’re constantly asking ourselves how our work is truly adding value for them.
so glad to have you on board with the team
Welcome to the team Olive!!!
Thanks, Portia! ☺
Happy New Week Terrell!!! This is an EXCELLENT way to start the week and end the month ... A challenge to reflect on and refine our processes / tasks to keep in alignment with what really matters. My key takeaways: 1. "What matters to our clients ... " Holistically? 2. Our clients are actual people ... feeding their families, taking care of loved ones, responsible for employees and impacting the community they are a part of. 3. In relation to business and outside business ... how do we add value to them, helping them get closer to their goals? 4. If it isn't helping, should we be spending time on it? 5. Using these key questions in mind as I work through my tasks will help me actually discover value addition ideas along the way.
Love the ' core value of the month ' repetition and expansion each week. I notice the dots connecting for me subconsciously in new ways each week without the added precious of ' studying ' our core values. Thank you again for doing this Terrell! Shout out Leo!!!! Well done!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 Shout out Lola!!! The grease in our gears 💞 Jeremy back bigger and better!!! Thank you for making sure we had ' food in the fridge ' while you were away 🤭
It’s great to see the team’s hard work being recognized! Whether improving processes, supporting clients, or communicating well. These show how much we value clarity and teamwork. Congratulations and Thank you for your hard work, Leo, Lola and Jeremy!
The point about personal responsibility and deadlines stood out to me! It’s easy to forget how missing something small can create bigger problems for others, but this makes it clear how much teamwork matters. I am reminded that out-of-office planning is so practical too-it’s such a simple thing, but it makes a huge difference when everyone is on the same page.
Clarity as a core value makes so much sense-when everyone knows their role and communicates well, it’s easier to reach our goals and create a great work environment!
I’ve lerned that to hit our 2025 goals, we all need to work togethr and comunicate well. If we’re delayd or out, we should let the team knw so no one’s work gets held up. It’s all about working as one to reach the goal.
Thank you, Terrell! I really appreciate these weekly core values talk. They're such a great reminder of how much we rely on each other to reach our goals. The part about clear communication, especially around deadlines or being out of the office, really stood out to me. It made me think about how my work impacts the team and the importance of keeping everyone in the loop. It’s a great reminder that success is a team effort!
All great points you've shared with us consistently Terrell. One point I definitely need to be more intentional about is ... - early communication : especially around deadlines Thank you so much for our weekly pep talk 😁
"Time is money": He is wearing an orange prison jumpsuit. I love this guy!
Absolutely love this! 'Clarity' is my 'love language' 😅. Looking forward to this series! 2025 ... New Year, New Us! 👊
Corporate ghoulism. Is someone is performing average, that’s not even a bad metric. Did you see why he or she is performing worse than usual? If the company can address the issue?

Hey, sometimes you just got to make that call to folks to collect!
I agree :) Thank you for watching!
a month has 720 - 744 hours if you work 12 hours a day you are working 360 - 372 hours a month 12 hours are the 3.33% - 3.23% of how much you work paying someone for the 3.33% ain't looking worth
and if you work 8 hours you work 240 - 248 hours a month 12 hours are the 5% - 4.84%
12 Hours can be the difference between closing a new client deal and being stuck in mindless accounting work. While it's a smaller fraction as a % of the total time most business would rather spend 12 Hours talking to potential clients than figuring out how to balance their books :)
Wow yes
