@@FlokiFire So true!
Great interview, lots of valuable information and insight.
@@FlokiFire So glad to hear that! Thanks so much 🙏🏼
Sometimes I feel like the best advice of all time was coming from Nike: "Just do it!" It's actually that simple, but also it's not that simple... Ahhhh Limit is just in our mind.
@@Aslinaz Yes, so true!!! Well said 🥰👏🏼
thank you so much for sharing this video, you definitely motivated me to step out of my shell, I will try to break the cycle that I have been in for years, I always find and look for excuses to delay my growth but its time to do something different and step out of this blue shell, nothing will be done by sitting and waiting!
@@Kapatita I’m so glad this was inspiring! I feel the same way and can’t wait to improve my life further in 2025 🌙❤️
Inspiring interview! It prompted me to open the concept files I had created earlier this year for the trilogy I plan to write and shoot in 2025!
@@TinaHowe-t3p That sounds so exciting!!! Thank you for watching & good luck 🍀😇

Hi Sed😁
Nah I’m with him, nobody cares about feminism in media, we just want good movies, something that has been killed by inserting mentally ill ideologies into something made for a large audience. Have you ever seen alien? Everyone I know loves that movie but they don’t ever say “it was good because of the female lead actress”, it’s because it was an interesting film with neat ideas.
Women... the cause for shitty movies.
Same feminists responsible for worst Disney box office
You've got a great face for writing
Women are only involved in movies because we allow it.
And that’s why movies suck now
Ya you sell ones soul
No one watching your feminist crap. Go play with your Cats, more productive.
Transformers "dominating women in disguise"
The overall split for the occupation of “Writer’s and Author’s” is about 59% female and 41% male. Young Adult Fantasy is overwhelmingly female while Sci-Fi is overwhelmingly male. Looks like you’re having a go at it. Good luck!
More anti-men trash.
Maybe if the feminists were a larger portion of the population that pays to go see a movie it would make sense. So congrats, you dont get sci-fi or economics. 😂 fyi woke goes broke, look at starwars and marvel.
boring
Right thats why me don't know how to write science fiction, because its too hard for us to understand 😂 Even with your husky build you still wouldn't last a day in a real man's profession like construction or mechanics. You opinions are bigotry and sexist you are a piece of trash for discrimination. You are clearly broken and need a better therapist. Do better.
I have noticed sci fi have sucked for several years now.
@@cynwraeth1943 Agreed! I think it’s cause they rely too much on existing IPs rather than original ideas and don’t adapt them well for screen.
@scriptalchemist Relying too much on existing IPs is a very polite way of saying milking the ever living shit out of once-beloved franchises. I hope you don't work for Disney but if you do, for the love of God please stop butchering Star Wars and Marvel. There's nothing but gristle left.
@ Haha very well said! It’s unfortunate what’s been going on. I’m an indie writer & filmmaker and hope to stay in the original side of things, but I know the industry. Trust me, writers are mostly not responsible for it. It’s a room full of executive producers that give the final notes & passes… A mind-blowing podcast episode about this is coming today (in 5 hours), I’d love to hear your thoughts on it when we reveal what really is going on behind the scenes of these board rooms. Glad to meet someone who’s awake & aware🙏🏼⚡️
@@sedanniore "it's a room full of executive producers". I 100% believe that you are not wrong. However it's more than just the suits. A lot of these big studios like Disney and Amazon are more interested in pushing a message than a story. Take for example the Rings of Power. I get it's not sci-fi but it's a good example. You have writers that openly admit to either never having read the source material or actively dislike it. Same is true with the Witcher (Henry Cavill fucked off over this). If you're not a fan of the books then why the hell are you writing a show about it? I can only assume it's a tight job market for writers, maybe they take what they can get I don't know. But I feel like there are plenty of talented writers who love these IPs and would be a much better fit in the writing room. I will check out the podcast you mentioned.
@@cynwraeth1943 I agree! The industry is very closed off to aspiring writers. They’d rather recycle writers that they’ve already worked with, hence the writers who are hired to adapt something that they’re not a fan of, which ends up being terrible. I wish things were different. They should care about the material and doing justice to the story, not the other things. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the latest episode. It’s out now and right on topic! 🙏🏼
The audience is 90% male. Yeah thatvis why all the femanist crap fails. They make fem BS for an audience that is not female...
bahaha nice

@@kwesitravis3372 That’s amazing, you got this!!! Can’t wait to make more about audio drama writing 🥰
Your cup is empty because it doesn't exist. You're detaching yourself from material reality. You correctly identify that overwork is causing you to feel alienated, I recommend reading Marx's "Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts." Notice how you felt at peace when connecting with animals and nature. Make that your reality
Thank you sm :)
You look quite rested, Seda. You are so right in that taking breaks helps you become creative again. I've been getting into iPhone photography for the last few weeks, Something I used to do routinely before I started writing. It feels really good, And I'm even taking an iPhone photography course. However, I still plan to finish that screenplay...
Thank you so much for noticing! It's amazing to hear that you're doing iPhone Photography. 📸💖 Thank you for stopping by!!
I'm an artist and I've been here for 3 years now and I DEEPLY HATE it. It's just not a good place to make art. Maybe it was cool in the 90's...

My spiritual journey started from dream journaling. Before that, I would always keep a notebook next to my bed so that I would put cool ideas down that would pop into my head. I've also had success with polyphasic sleep. Also channeling stories from spirits. So I see spirituality and creativity in the same stream.

Inspiring, Seda! I haven't written horror because I don't often watch it; however, I love horror comedy! So when I write my trilogy of shorts, I'm going to write one of these.
@@TinaFieldHoweCreative That sounds super fun!!! Good luck ✨💪🏼
@@sedanniore My plan is to test out the variety of situations you can create with one simple location and two characters. ;)
@@TinaFieldHoweCreative I love that!!! That’s the ultimate filmmaking skill we have to work on 🥰
My 1st AD on the first project that I wrote and directed, told me, "We'll fix it in post." It was a hot mess in editing it together. My advice is to take care of it the RIGHT WAY unless you really have no time. I would suggest to get the shot if you have time later that same day. It's not worth the stress in editing later. Great advice Seda!
@@lcamacho2023 That’s a great experience to learn from! Thanks for watching ✨
What an amazing episode?! This might be my favorite thus far. Great tips for real life or any production like Shranjay said in the comments. My past experiences on set do determine who I work with in the future. Also, it's important to know your worth and not be taken advantage of on set. Speak up, if something doesn't feel right or you don't feel comfortable. Being on set can be hard, but it also should feel safe, fun, and comfortable for all parties involved.
@@lcamacho2023 Agreed!!! That’s very wise, thanks so much for sharing and for watching 🥰🙌🏼
Thanks for your review! I don't use any of those, but I would love for you (or someone else) to do a review/comparison on Drama Queen, which I've started using recently. I think it's very powerful and yet under-rated. I'd love to hear from others who've used it as well. Thanks.
@@EarlHamilton-e9q Never heard of it! I’ll try it out for sure :)

No.1 tip even though seems outside of filmmaking is actually the most important tip for real life or any production, keep people fed healthy and happy. It only comes back as a really good experience and people trying their best to make the best.

Thanks, Seda, nice encapsulation of the beats. I also use Snyder's process. Humans have loved stories that unfold in this way for millennia.

I wish I'd seen this video years ago! But now I'm able to more clearly see what the main theme is when I think about my scripts and why I resisted pigeonholing myself in one genre! Because I've written in just about all of them... thanks, Seda! Now on to 3 Steps to Finding Your Voice!
