I didn't have this figure, but I did have the Hall of Fame figure based off of it, and it is a great design. Every bit as good as V1 or V2

I got my first Joes in 1990 when I was 5, and was full-steam ahead for the line by 1991.Pretty sure the Battle Wagon was my big Christmas present that year, and it remains my favorite GI Joe vehicle for both the Joe Team, and the line as a whole. The Eco-Warriors immediately became my favorite sub-team (5- 6 years old, GI Joe is my favorite toy, Ranger Rick is my favorite magazine, stuff that changes color is cool, stuff that shoots water is cool, it's like that sub-line was custom-made for me), and has remained so. Strangely enough, between 1990-194, I think this the year that I got the smallest percentage of the year's offerings as a kid, probably because of the extra cost of getting the whole Eco-Warriors run, the Battle Wagon, and a Sonic Fighter, so yeah, less than other years, but what I did get was The Good Stuff. Also got all but 2-3 of the Impel trading cards, which, IMHO, remains one of the best licensed products ever made for GI Joe, and opened up so much of the Joe universe for me that I would have otherwise never have known about.

I didn't know about the comic until 1994, and access to the cartoon was intermittent. It was these inserts along with the filecards that did the bulk of the work building the GI Joe universe for me growing up.

Did they just imply a Razorblade helicopter going down the zip line and smacking someone straight in the face?😂 How did that make it past the corporate safety goons?😂😂 Also, neat to see both color variations of the Scorpion in the commercial. I wonder if that was an intentional choice, or if it just happened.
