Testing & Cooking with My Ammo Box Tent Stove In My Yard
Переглядів 2,7 тис.3 роки тому
It is the first time that I make a tent stove from a ammution box, I am quite satisfied with it. Ammunition box is rather solid and ideal to make a tent stove, one small issue it's not long enough to mount 2 meters of pipe (it's a recommended pipe length to be safe for your tent). Please leave a comment if you have a suggestion. Thank you for passing by! Order this stove at www.etsy.com/listing...

0:43 If my shower doesn't feel like this I don't want it
Waste of a good can. What you can't smell is the heavy enamel paint burning off every time you light a fire in it, and it never goes away.
Nice build, Good job. I'd like the ammo Box. The video was a little too long for me, but I watched it all! It should be no more than 8 to 10 minutes!
Hi Dan, thank you for watching and for your feedback. Cheers :)
I keep a back up charge controller on hand and I also use the same diesel heater for emergency heat. I did install a Y splitter below the main internal tank with an auxiliary 20L tank that I use for long burn time. It takes roughly and hour to do the install with a few hot coffee breaks. I run 800 watts of solar panels and 4 100 ah LiPo batteries that I keep inside in a fireproof box. The house is wired for solar backup on critical items and not the HVAC, water heaters or stoves as I have propane tankless water heaters as back up along with various camp cooking system. All of this is actually my third back up as installed a 22kw Generac standby generator and a 500 gallon propane tank 5 years ago. If I get to a truly off grid life style… we can manage. Good tips on you cabin… so many people are not ready if things go south.
Bonjour merci pour votre belle vidéo, je recherche le nom des tubes qui s'emboitent afin de faire une cheminée. Pourriez-vous m'aider svp ? Merci d'avance et bonne continuation.
I've built several Rocket Stoves, but never used an ammo container. Great Idea!
Good job. May have to try that myself.
That's great! Please show us yours when you've done it! 😉
Interesting, you could of used the flap disc to safely remove the burrs off the metal, vs risking a stone or disc explode from using the side. At this point I'll say, you have an interesting model
BRAVO MAJSTORE
I'll by soon for me! Very nice
I'd have left the handle on.
It can be made this way, but no handle would be easier to for cooking.
The worst video ever why not tell people what and why??? Why did you cut this off what kind of replacement metal are you using??? FAIL!!!
Hi Gary, because my English speaking is very bad, sorry.
i like the design
Thank you Augusto !
IT'S NO WHERE CLOSE TO A GIMBLE or GIMBAL TABLE.
This is not a gimbal
This looks good though being lazy i would leave the paint on then when finished light a fire outside first and it burns right off
I do the same now, let the fire does its job :)
Some of the maddest welding I've ever seen 🤣 And you know it's gonna be good when you have to hold the vice still 😂😳
Yes, i know. I've never welded before. :)
Excellent!!! What is the chimney diameter?
It's 50mm wide 😊
one of those in small tent and you can survive nearly all temps below zero ;) . nicely done.
Yes definitely, I've tested it myself several times below zero outside. And I am still alive to write this comment :D Thank you bro! :)
🤦🏼♂️
What makes this a gimbal?
Very nice
Salut tonton
Why not clamp your sheet metal in the vise while drilling?
It's a good idea. Thank you for your suggestion! :)
@shawndoyle6460 Step one; "Secure your work". Stock, whatever. He got it done with what he had but I may have had a couple of those moments, too. Rooting for him but thinking man that is gonna hurt! But he did it and shared it with us and we are commenting on it. Pretty awesome.
I ordered Gstove including 17 items April 28 2020. Order No: 100 3089. Receipt No; 5174-2548-3554-0073. I received 1st shipping 8 items April 2021. But Gstove does not make shipment until now. I do not receive 9 items. Gstove doesn't keep the promise. Gstove is bad company. 😃
awsome job I really dig the legs. about how long did it take to get your food cooked? also what type of hammer are you using I dig that size and shape
The dislike button is not working
It is still working but thank you for watching though :)
One of the best I've seen, clever solution for the legs. I would have added a plate on the top to avoid flames flow directly through the chimney. Thanks for the video
Thank you Dani for watching. Why do you think that adding a plate on the top can help avoid flames flow directly through the chimney ? :)
@@OutdoorGoodGuy I guess it will add some flow restrictions and will deflect heat to the walls, I've seen it on other designs as well as on home stoves. But anyway, no doubt your design is good as it is
Yes a baffle
Hello bro from turkey. I have question. What size your ammo box. See you
50 cal
Very nice build. I think you should have nested the chimney the other way though. Having the female ends on the bottom allows the the tar build up to run down back into the stove instead of running down the pipe.
Hi Jon, thank you for watching my video. And thank you for your suggestion :)
Looking forward for more videos man.
Awesome idea. Subbed.
nice option material goog joob browww
Hi Kelana, thank you bro ! :)
