This video sucks, you ruined a perfectly good dehumidifier and (sort of) made a swamp cooler. I hope you don't live in a humid climate because now it's pretty much ineffective at cooling a room and at removing humidity. In fact, swamp coolers work by increasing humidity (by evaporation). They are basically the exact opposite. This means dehumidifiers are basically "swamp heaters".... If you can move this heat to the outside, which is what you should have done, then that's a heat pump, which is an air conditioner.

Wow. That is one of the dumbest things I have seen. This dehumidifier is an ac that doesn't dump the heat outside. Isolate the hot side and blow it out a window ( with a seal of course).

Basicly get a dehumidifier drain the refrigerant out remove the compressor then cut the inlet and out pipes add rubber pipes loop the two condensers/radiators have a inlet and a outlet add wayer pump to the inlet side put the pump and return pipe into the water tank add water and ice in the water tank and switch on happy days you have a air cooler pretty easy to see it guys as for where does the heat go well its not like a air conditioning unit but still a very good way of cooling the air down 😁

Oh no, this is not an AC unit after conversion. It has been converted to a stoneage water pump to cool the air. The correct thing to do would have been to just separate the hot and cold elements in the original unit and put the hot one outdoors. Or do a similar approach enclosing the hot element in a box and use two air hoses to let the warm air out and new air in to the box(to avoid depressiurize the room causing outdoor warm air seeping in through vents)

That is just pure stupidity from the start releasing the gas to the end having a pile of junk that do nothing... lol Seriously 🤣😂

Problem number four just circulating water through those radiators will not cause a cooling effect. If you want to make a swamp cooler you have to spray the water in a fine mist in order for it to be able to be evaporated the evaporation is what cools the air around it.

Problem number three, you cut the orifice tube off of the evaporator. That is what makes the the refrigerant evaporate which causes the evaporator to become cold to transfer the heat from the air to the evaporator. You then removed the condenser line and connected to condenser to the evaporator with a rubber hose this system will not work at all.

Problem number one, rubber hose cannot support the pressure of that compressor. Problem number two even if the the hose was capable of supporting the pressure super glue will not hold the hose to the copper under the amount of pressure in that system .

Suggest you get a checkup from the neck up If this is a conversion from humidifier to ac, you must be suffering from covid 19, Suggest you self isolate for say 5 years, and avoid the internet for fear of passing on your stupidity. Heres how to do want you wanted without destroying a humidifier or the ozone All you need is a fan. 8 or 10 mm copper pipe in place of a dehumidifier steps, coil copper pipe on front fan mesh and secure. And there you have it, you have succeeded in wasting time and money on building a thingy, which isn't of any use to man or beast

absolute rubbish, A compressor is needed to compress the gas into cold refridgerant and a vent is needed to vent the moist air out. What use is a Pond Pump circulating cool water what will happen when the water in the container becomes warm, Hmmm, it will become a heater.

It would be a huge help if people would be willing to verbally explain exactly what they are doing when making these tutorials. Yes we can learn by watching but we can gain a much better understanding of what we are doing and how to do it when we are being verbally told what to do.
