Lady Woodburn is iconic... Mrs Woodburn is the same today as she was in 1980 when i met her.. i was a troubled child and she was a social staff worker. I threw myself on the floor and she gently took me by the hand and the top of my arm with her other hand so not to hurt me and as she picked me up she said..."come on Tiny Tot up you get" that was my first real interaction with her but i can tell you..she was to me it seemed, over six foot in hieght with a beautiful figure and outfit..perfect footwear and gorgous hair flowing down her back in a high pony tail..from that day on, she was all of us girl's most favourite member of staff..she would have makeup evenings with us, nails and eyebrows evenings..she would teach us how to knit and took me to one of her fashion show catwalk evenings. She dressed me in a beautiful pea green silk sahari and made me feel beautiful. .she was fare to all of us..even took me out to dinner for steak and chip's with her lovely husband Mr P Woodburn..took me to there home for a few hours and made me feel what it was like to feel like i was part of a family unit..i cried for week's after getting told one day by a Mrs Hall that she wouldn't be back because she had left to work and live in America..i was devaststed..treated like a daughter and i never got to say goodbye..
