Igniter replacement in a Magic Chef gas oven
Переглядів 1,1 тис.Рік тому
Our oven had started working intermittently. Rather than buy a new oven we are going to replace the igniter and hope that does the trick. Be sure to find your model number for parts and to shut off the gas and power when performing the repair. Also be prepared for things to not quite go as smoothly as you hoped.
IBC Tote Rain Collection
Переглядів 28Рік тому
Set up a 275 gallon IBC tote to collection rain water coming off the roof. As mentioned if you plan to filter for drinking or use on anything you want to consume go with a tote that had food grade material in it. Always know what was in the tote and check the MSDS.
Thoughts on Tribe Basecamp

My thoughts of the tribe basecamp overlanding trailer after a few months and few thousand miles. My wife and I have really enjoyed the trailer. There are a few issues we have had but Tribe customer service has been great. #Tribe #basecamp
MKIV Volkswagen Jetta TDI Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement
Переглядів 3,2 тис.2 роки тому
This shows you how to go about replacing the coolant temperature sensor on a MKIV jetta. I did this to hopefully fix a non-functional temperature gauge. My apologies for the audio, the wind was blowing pretty good. I was trying to get it fixed before it snowed. Also of note. After checking my coolant level on flat ground I did have to pick up some G40, which is compatible with the G12 or G13 fr...

We took our new to us 1992 casita freedom deluxe on a quick camping trip. Found this great little site and had a nice evening out. I messed around outside while my wife stayed mostly inside studying physics.

1992 Casita Freedom Deluxe 16’

My wife and I picked up a new to us casita. The gentleman we bought it from was very helpful and kept things running well. We just need to work on a few things to make it look nicer but it is ready for camping.
Willow Creek to Little Cottonwood Creek Loop
Переглядів 767 років тому
Some short clips of the Willow Creek to Little Cottonwood Creek Loop along the Right Hand Fork up Logan Canyon. A pdf map of the entire hike is located at the end of the video. The total hike was around 6.5 miles and passed through a number of different vegetative areas. It was nice to do in early September but in spring and early summer I can image that the wildflowers in certain areas would b...

Pelican Elite 50
Переглядів 15 тис.7 років тому
This is my first video review so my apologies for any shaky video or stammering. I just wanted to share initials thoughts on the Pelican Elite 50 rotomolded cooler. This doesn't include an ice test I will possibly post a video of that or add some comments after I run that test.
Dump Descent

#VIRBAdventures Figured I would show the descent from Box Elder County Landfill. The ride up was slow and boring, but the ride down sure is fun.
Garmin Virb Ultra 30 Test Run
Переглядів 4657 років тому
#VIRBAdventures This is the middle section of a run using a garmin virb ultra with the EIS active. I used 720 30fps, while having it attached to a generic chesty. I also used a garmin fenix 2 which is what is providing the heart rate and temperature. The temperature isn't very accurate because it is on my wrist.
Landfill Downhill

Not the best angle, but I wanted to some video of coming down the hill. It is grueling to go up but coming down sure is a blast.
Where did you purchase the igniter from?
If I remember correctly it was partselect.com
Video cut off. 😢 Wanted to SEE u spray.
My wife caught a few seconds of it that shows at the end. It is to messy to have a camera under there while I am spraying.
I possibly have the same exact Magic Chef oven it would appear, but there's no details listed anywhere on my oven for me to confirm this. Do you have a link that you can share for the igniter you purchased?
Yes i would like to know where he purchased the ignighter also?
Thought I responded. I purchased it through partselect.com
Here is the link. www.partselect.com/PS1573892-Whirlpool-12400035-Flat-Style-Oven-Igniter-Kit.htm?SourceCode=18 I will say that mine did not come with connectors, I had to do some splicing.
Be nice if you talked a little louder while the wind drowns you out..
Yeah, sorry about that. It was pretty windy. I thought of adding voice over but was to lazy.
@Videos of Random Interests LOL, I am sorry..I probably sounded like a @sshole,I didn't mean to if I did. Your video was AWSOME 👏👏👏 Thank you 👍
@@dannyrankin3366 no worries.
Thanks for the vid. Replaced both of mine today. The only thing I did different is add some bug screen between the vent pipe and lower cap. I was also fortunate that the holes lined up for me.
Glad to hear it went well. Also the screen is a great idea. I have had some wasp nests show up behind the fridge vents. Might put some screen there, thanks for the idea.
Is this up right hand fork?
No thin coat of sealer before secure?
Not according to everything I could find. Those rivets take care of sealing it up. If I were to use a sealant I would probably use butyl tape which is what I have been using on side cut outs.
These are better than Yeti, stop thinking you didn’t want to spend extra. You got a superior product for way less! Yeti rope handles hurt, don’t hold ice as long and the clips to shut yeti will break down through UV exposure. Great purchase and discount!
Thanks! I’m about to replace both vents, I got the ones from LHC also.
You are welcome. If I were to change anything I would recommend using a non-silicon caulk.
You got a great deal! Mind if I ask, how did you find this Casita? I have been looking for one forever.
L Space just kept scanning the classified and was lucky enough to catch it early.
*Sold my roadie yeti for this.>>>**nub.best/09bt** Yeti gives you a 5 year warranty! Pelican offers lifetime warranty. They are almost the same. Some of drain plugs, some don’t. Who cares. Almost made with the same materials. Pretty sure both can handle dry ice. The pelican is just taller and has cup holders. Yeti has the yeti name behind it. I love yeti, I will buy another yeti cooler for sure. Just sold on ur pelican right now.*
fine
We have a few yeti tumblers through my wife’s work and those are really nice. One of my main issues with yeti has to do with the sizing. I am still not entirely sure how they come up with the sizes, because it isn’t internal capacity, perhaps it is volume displaced by the cooler. Also I really dislike those bungee style closures. I am loving the pelican. The only issue is that I recently broke some vertebrae and the empty cooler now exceeds my lifting limit, but any rotomolded cooler of a similar size would.
The gap on the seal is actually a good thing. It allows you to open the cooler if there is a pressure change. The earliest Yeti cookers didn’t have that and they had to be added. Pelican has been making cases for the military long enough they already knew some one these little tricks.
Do you own one of these coolers? The coolers are JUNK anyway with the inner layer of the lid being warped and allows the gasket to leak air all the way along. All the coolers are warped to a certain degree, and some are far worse than others. Mine leaks cold so bad that it condensates along the hing. I can also 1/2 fill the cooler with water and roll it over on it's front and a fair amount of water will come out. Roll it over on it's back and the water that leaks out is 10 fold. Ice lasts 3 days, and It barely out performs a Coleman marine cooler I purchased 25 years ago. Trust me when I say that gap in the seal only adds to the energy loss caused by the warp. I can put a straight edge next to the seal and there is nearly a 3/16 inch warp near the halfway point in the lid. Other Pelican coolers are even worse, but some are slightly better.
Would you sell your old pack?
No. I actually keep it stocked up with certain items so that if I feel like going out to draw or do my weak attempts at watercoloring I can just grab that bag and go.
Better than factory 🤙
Yeah I need to do the other one now. I still have a lot of rivets to replace though, and since the other vent is functional it will be a while.
Very nice! How much did u get it for bro?
Sorry it took so long to respond. I meant to do it sooner and then totally spaced it. It was $5,000 which also included a few extras from the gentleman we bought it from. It seems that these fiberglass trailers depreciate slower then seem to hit almost a minimum price where no matter how old they get as long as they are in good shape they don't drop much below that price.
Nice demonstration of the product design and construction of the older generation vs the current state. I have the same item as you, pre 1999and really like.the new collection too. But do I need to get it?????
B. Mann if your bag is still in good shape there aren’t really enough changes to justify replacement. If you are considering a purchase I would recommend checking out the slightly larger pack, just so you have more options.
how much weight can you carry without the strappettes?
Yosef621 I have used it to carry 2 liters of water, first aid kit, snacks, gps, and light jacket without using the strappettes. I think around 8 or so pounds with no problem. I think even with the strappettes you are going to be limited by volume of the pack to a pretty low weight. These are great for day hikes or to carry along as a summit pack.
Just got lucky I think. For some reason that color was already discounted and then with a sale I was able to stack coupons.
How did you get it so cheap?
Running would be the severest test of the EIS. Although the stabilization feature cannot swallow up the side to side pitch, it does an admirable job. Shaun, have you had a chance to run with the Virb on a selfie stick? I have not, yet, but I am picturing the Olympic Torch relay team, and how when running, the torch seems to be isolated from the movement of the runner. Maybe this isolation can transfer over to the Virb while on a selfie stick, when running.
Wow, only took me 3 years to respond to this one. I don't do much of anything with a selfie stick. I also broke my back not too terribly long after posting this video and am just now starting to get back to running. Taking so long off makes it hard to get back into it. If you have tried on a selfie stick would love to hear how it worked out.
@@TremontonGreenJeep lol. That's ok, hopefully you are on the amend. 👍
