I bought the 600w display unit at best buy I promise you this thing sounds fucking better than a Sonos five only difference is the five has built in stereo where as the phantom needs 2 to get stereo and they have an upgrade plan in the website too if you want the 1 (P.S. The Phantom I has a 4500 max watts option that goes down to 14hz and has a Grade 1 Titanium tweeter)

@@BeansBeanie4500w? Somehow I highly doubt they’re pushing that much wattage. That’s on par with SVS PB16 Ultra subwoofer. You need a massive power supply for that kind of power.

Let me reply to my own question: There is ZERO need for a subwoofer when using Stealth8. They are PERFECT as stand alone speakers/monitors.

The Hypex NCore modules blow 99+ percent of pricey conventional so-called "high-end" and/or "audiophile" amplifiers, regardless of amplification "Class," right out of the water with regard to both measurable and audible performance. Your opinion is about as obsolete as the "transistor amps will never be good" nonsense folks used to spout at the very same time that DC-coupled output stages made the superiority of well designed solid-state amps to even the best vacuum tube equivalents unassailable. Sooner than later, Class AB output stages will become a matter of mere nostalgia for "the good old days" of massive power transformers and heat sinks, just like their tube counterparts have been for decades. @@editorjuno I use KRK V6 S4 powered monitors at home and their class D amplifiers (apparently) hiss louder than they should according to other users that have heard them and it's the class D amplifiers that are getting the blame for that, that being said they don't cost $20,000 for a pair they cost me $700 CDN each in 2020.

@@malibustacy3606 -- The otherwise excellent Kali IN-8 had the same issue, which was solved with the introduction of the current "2nd Wave" version. Now the entire Kali monitor line is much (12 dB!) quieter -- IOW, entirely suitable for home stereo use. The "2nd Wave" IN-8s now go for $800/pair MSRP and they are mind-blowingly good in every respect -- and the other Kali models (IN-5, LP-8, and LP-6) cost even less. The main difference is the latest generation of Class D chips from TI, which include built-in DSP functionality.

If I knew what that comment meant, I could give it a thumbs up!

They are not bluetooth speakers. You must have an external source if you want to use bluetooth audio with them.
