Listen to SIM’s Missioner, Mari Shiukashvili to find out how you can support the future of the Church through SIM.
SIM’s Becoming Beloved Community scholarship supports theological students with a strong call to the ministries of justice and reconciliation, and who, by their very histories, backgrounds, and prior engagements, contribute to the racial, ethnic, and cultural diversification of leadership in the Episcopal Church. With over $1.1 million dollars in scholarships, SIM has funded 81 Beloved Community scholars from 39 dioceses of The Episcopal Church and 5 dioceses of the greater Anglican Communion. Please give generously to enable SIM to fully fund all those who are called to ensuring the Church is truly a School of Love.

Convince gov to let everyone have an acre of free tax free land to live on and grow food on. End farm subsidies Everyone has the right to grow all their own food. For those who r bodily unable to grow food and cant afford a healthy diet, fruit and veg (canned if cheaper), beans, nuts, and grains(like rice, oats, flour) should be provided.
how can I get opportunity of getting a scholarship of theology a broad? I 'm IN Rwanda.
Hey hey, I know this is random, but I just (literally today) created a UA-cam group for more progressive Christians/spiritual folks to share their UA-cam content. I've been sharing in a lot of Christian UA-camr groups on FB and they are way too evangelical for who we are... ANYWAY, I think you'd be a great fit. If you want to join and share your content to help grow your channel and meet other great folks, please do! facebook.com/groups/2797740800468970 Feel free to share it too. :)
A lot to think about
Some of the comments seemed honest and candid which is needed in this dialogue. However, I noticed that Ms. Greer came across as abrasive with some disrespectful remarks. This is an important topic but it is not at all possible to convince people to change their hearts with disrespect. At the end of the day, we are all just people. If Ms. Greer tones down the rhetoric and disrespect she'll find many more listeners.
I did not see anything that was abrasive or disrespectful in Rev. Greer's remarks. I am not sure what you are talking about.
@@lynnhade2402 Ms. Greer's desire for children to learn misinformation about U.S. history is abrasive. She said that white people uphold a system of white supremacy. It may be that she didn't intend to be abrasive but when she uses her own ignorance of U.S. history as a tool to divide Americans it comes across as very abrasive. People aren't white supremacists for merely having a college education and owning their own homes in the suburbs. This is where Ms. Greer gets it completely wrong. My suggestion is for her to stop spreading her false narrative that all white people are responsible for white supremacy by merely being successful. Many African Americans have been told that they have "white privilege" for being educated and successful. Then, the accusers find out that the individuals they bullied for having "white privilege" were actually African Americans. I think that Ms. Greer is just opening wounds that actually never existed. Once you tell African Americans that all white people are responsible for white supremacy and you teach falsehoods about U.S. history you get hurt feelings and cities start burning. Ms. Greer knows that she is creating a new problem by gaslighting an existing one. She may not realize that by demeaning African Americans, in stating that white Americans are responsible for the success of African Americans, that it only hurts the people that she is trying to help all the much more. Her's is an unkind message. Teach people how to love and how to be successful in their own lives instead of splitting the nation up by race.
@@lynnhade2402 Another important point is that the older gentleman expressed how he felt that it would be helpful to spread misinformation about U.S. history in schools. This would be dumbing down the culture even more than it has already become as evidenced by the recent destruction of our cities. Our older history books are based on letters, documents, and contemporary testimony of what happened when it happened. This was first and second-generation support for actual events. The older gentleman felt that it would be helpful to use third-generation opinions of the past based on an interpretation of what happened in a modern context and with an agenda to hurt the emotions of children. I don't see why anyone pretending to be a Christian would have a desire to hurt children. Rewriting history with a false narrative for the purpose of angering African Americans is not only not Christian but it is very reckless and dishonest. Ms. Greer should be preaching the gospel of Christ instead of gaslighting society and dividing people into tribes. We used to love our neighbors in the generation of my grandparents. Now America is divided and Ms. Greer seems to be trying to make things even worse.
