    They are often used to heat larger hog sheds for calf huts, but in this instance it heats the mixing air valves in the back of this feed mill. They have to keep them warm so they'll open and close properly when they're mixing the grain.

    Thank you for making my repair easy. I just bought the machine and have lost 2 relays in the last 2 weeks. I will now carry 6 relays with me at all times. I lost one for the fuel pump that is not in the fuse block, two of them are on the main wire run next to the steering shaft.

    Can i add a variable speed control to my belt drive 120 volts exhaust fan thansk. Right now it pulls too much air. Its a restaurant

    • @ReubenSahlstrom
      @ReubenSahlstrom 14 днів тому

      @@mohammadabid1222 you would have to contact the manufacturer and give them the model to see if that's possible. On most of the belt driven fan assemblies, the speed is controlled by changing the pulley. Depending on the style, they are actually adjustable, and can be adjusted to meet a certain amp draw. I know some greenheck models are that way.

      @ thank you so much for your reply . Right now its winter and our exhaust fan is pulling too much air and making the store very cold. It’s doesn’t have air balance meaning it only pulls air out and no return air to the store. The exhaust fan is on top of a three story building so no access to it. My hope was just installing a variable speed control at the switch. But l am scared it might burn the motor and it might not work. Again thanks for your help

    Prediction before watching: the condensate from gas combustion is acidic. Comment after: Yep, although it is still nice to see a video of how severe it can be as I haven't seen it in person (I'm a first year apprentice in HVAC in Canada) On top of that, PVC is much faster, easier, and cheaper so the only reason I can see someone using copper is if they genuinely weren't aware of this, I feel like I will learn about this in trade school come spring but even on the HVAC side of things like pH and hardness come up more often than I would've expected considering that we're supposed to be worrying about air and humidity.

      @ReubenSahlstrom I've read where in some cases regular copper tubing shouldn't be used, because depending on the wall thickness, it may not hold up against hydraulic pressure. The newer copper / nickel alloy tubing seems to be acceptable. Traditionally steel, or better yet stainless steel lines were normally used. Great classic car you have there. Best of lucky 👌
