The tragic accident that killed Donald Malcolm Campbell. Donald Campbell attempted to break yet another speed record of 300mph on Coniston Water in his boat, the Bluebird K7. The Bishop of Barf is a whitewashed stone in the Lake District that marks the place where the Bishop of Derry is said to have died in 1783. The highest point on the A83 is 803ft above sea level. From the viewpoint of this famous beauty spot, you can see the old valley road engineered by General Wade during the subjection of Scotland following the Jacobite rebellion. A stone was erected to commemorate the completion of his military road in 1750.

I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. Who knows what those streams have hidden. I do believe Scotland is good for gold panning. I actually have a pan but not used it. Always too busy in the sky😊 Perhaps I will give it a go this summer. ❤
@@ladyintheskyuk yeah sounds good that always watch shows on gold panning or rush was gona do it at some point as scottish gold the rare as not aloud to mine it and value very high on it.... plus there a burn in a location with gram gold nuggets in it as long as get landowners permission you can go as few people been there to get enough gold for engagement ring or wedding ring.... or just for bit fun some thing different to do but sure after April time you can look till season close
