If we must "trust the Spirit to remove veils", then how can our outcomes be "on us",.e.g., taking our addictions to the grave? If we are trusting in HIS power to change us, then progress isn't up to us...unless it's also true that transformation can be hindered by lack of submission, cooperation or whole-heartedness...which sadly places burdens back on us.

So if our flesh (mind, will and emotions) was crucified and we have been perfected...with sin our nature replaced...but experientially, our mind, will and emotions still continue to function...how is it that we can still CHOOSE to believe all the "I am's" in Christ vs CHOOSE to be triggered by the law? My will is definitely not dead or I'd be a robot. 🤔

🤔 Sorry to be dense but...what is the purpose or value of our WILL if we are not able (or intended) to choose? If our WILL is part of the flesh that has been crucified, then is the will of the Spirit all we experience? Don't we have to discern between the WILL of our flesh and the will of the Spirit? To say that Peter was still ministering the law under grace is like saying that Jesus built his church on the wrong foundation. Because Jesus said that he would build his church on Peter and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Secondly, you said that if someone preaches another gospel, let him be accursed. So if Peter was really preaching another gospel mixing law and grace, he would be accursed. And again, that would contradict Jesus as in the first argument above. Peter was preaching the right gospel of grace, but didn't yet have profound revelations about the ministry of grace like Apostle Paul. In order to well understand the case of Ananias and Saphira, you have to consider another verse written by apostle Peter. 1 Peter 4:17 KJV 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? God was judging Ananias and Saphira for being selfish and hypocrites in a context where grace was fully dispensed to the believers both materially and spiritually with the manifestation of the gifts of the spirit. To whom God gives more, more is expected by God. The judgement of God against the church is real and even apostle Paul who taught more about grace confirmed that: 1 Corinthians 11:29-34 KJV 29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. 33Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. 34And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

Lots of great Truth...but puzzled because WAITING in FAITH for fulfillment of a promise sounds like PASSIVITY. Abraham needed to ACT (years of intimate relations with Sarah) in order for Isaac to eventually be conceived. So I guess we have to trust that He is always at work in us to will and to DO...because some of our doing might be an essential part of a promise being fulfilled? 🤔

Wonderful message packed with TRUTH; however, if life in the Spirit requires us to do ANYTHING well enough...often enough...I feel doomed to staying stuck in humanity. If we died with Christ...what part of us is still living that we have to keep dying to? I don't understand "dying to the flesh" if the flesh died with Him on the cross. I hope subsequent messages will clear this up. Thank you.

Powerful liberating TRUTH I really needed to hear! I have not embraced my death. I am beginning to see it; but the effort/abillity to "reckon myself dead" a thousand times a day feels like exerting WILL power to change. I thought we are dead to "doing" and that certainly seems like something I need to do! 😔 Confused, but I will keep listening to this amazing series! Thank you!

FAITH in the CROSS ALONE is beautiful, powerful and freeing. But then what do you do with all the admonitions in Paul's epistles...to DO stuff? Holy Spirit, open my eyes, because I'm having trouble reconciling these seemingly contradictory positions. 🤔

Such a good message! But now I feel the burden of performance to achieve the intimacy I desire. Nothing I do or don't do seems to get me any closer to experiencing a connection with Jesus. All I feel is painful failure. I don't want a "how-to" or "7 Steps", but I am dead-in-the-water...and desperate for life-giving oil!

I see you have turned off comments on your recent videos. My guess is you know that no one alive today is under the law but still need to teach that everyone is cursed by it. If you're honest you will admit to yourself and those around you that no one alive today was ever under the Mosaic law or its curse. One can not be redeemed from a law they were never under. Those are facts...facts always trump emotions. Tell the truth and deal with it.

Amen brother Greg !!!! Many don't understand the Ministry of death by works!!! In Revelation we understand that Christ backs up Paul's Gospel. Revelation 3:13-16 KJV. The first verse if a man hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Then he's singles out one church what he has against them. When he says that I know thy works he is talking to me. I feel like the woman at the well HE told me everything I Ever did. Where I deserve death (by the law) . Using cold as death meaning death ( the law). Using Hot as Grace and Truth. The Law came by Moses. Gace and truth by Jesus Christ. I am dead as Paul said I die daily. But now I am resurrecting daily to life by grace. I have no advantage if the dead rise not. I have an everlasting fire (the Holy Ghost) That teaches us all things. Christ prayed to the father to send to us to put us in remembrance of what he said. Lukewarm signifying the mixing two covenants one is death and one is life everlasting. The everlasting gospel. Revelation 14:6-7. The fire is God he is a consuming fire and we are being baptized by fire. It consumes my carnal mind. Paul says to be carnally minded is death.To be spiritual minded is life. To be carnal minded is enmity with God.

I am not trying to hear Greg Lilly. I am hearing Christ in Greg Lilly. We don't judge after the flesh. John 8:15-16 KJV. Christ does give us judgment when we have come to the judgment seat of Christ ourselves. John 14:23 KJV. In 1John 4:1-6 . They speak of the world and the world hears them. BUT WE speak of Christ who is not of this world. The world cannot hear Greg Lilly because the are of the world. The kingdom is within in us. Christ who is the king and he has the premenience over everything.The kingdom doesn't come by observation. The kingdom was at hand then and the kingdom is at hand today in the earth. When I am saying earth I am talking from the beginning when God drew a breath of dust from his nostrils and made Adam a living soul. But now is exhaling Grace and truth by Jesus Christ the second Adam( the word of God from the beginning) into me until Christ (The word of God) being formed in us through the Holy Ghost who teaches us all things. Sound doctrine Amen!! Roman's 11:28-36 KJV. Israel as concerning the gospel, they our enemies for our sakes. The election of grace hears his voice. Election meaning Chosen to hear Christ not Moses the old Covenant. BY FAITH meaning by means a preposition to perform a motion or actions. THROUGH FAITH meaning a preposition denoting the channel of an act. Roman's 3:29-31 KJV. James doesn't use term THROUGH FAITH but BY FAITH. Peter was the only one to use THROUGH FAITH. 1Peter:1 2Peter: 1 KJV. But if you believe Paul is the Author of Hebrews you will see both BY FAITH and THROUGH FAITH. I believe That he is and he is trying to get the Jews to believe THROUGH FAITH. And gives the examples of old Covenant and New Covenant.

GOOD SERMON !!! Tell Diane that the first Apostles the eleven were unlearned. Acts 4 KJV. And Barnabas is introduced a levite ( Son of consultation) interpreted. Paul was learned. ACTS 22: 3-22 KJV Old Covenant meets new Covenant. CHRIST. This is also prophesied in old testament. Isaiah 29: 9-24 KJV. Without the unlearned the Learned cannot understand. And the Learned Without the unlearned cannot understand. The principle thing to get is understanding. In Revelation 5 we see who was worthy to open the book. He said Lo I come in the volume of the book. Hebrews 10:7 KJV .The body of Christ is a many member body (Church). The eleven cast lots for a new Apostle to replace Judas. Christ said Paul is my chosen vessel. He fulfilled the word of God. Read Colossians 1 KJV. Paul is building us up in Christ until he is formed in us to become the election of grace. BY FAITH We have to accept 3 things Judgment I deserve to die for my sins.But Christ didn't die in vain for the whole world and I have accepted his grace for me and my neighbors. Love thy neighbor as thyself has fulfilled the law. Then FAITH to believe God is able to perform what he started in me. I accept James in the FAITH but not to doubtful disputations. Paul is contending for the FAITH not by his works but Christ working mightily in him.That is why he withstood Peter. Peter admitted it was hard to understand because he was unlearned but Paul didn't cut them off HE admonished them. I am sure he was admonished by them in the beginning.

In Rev. 3:7-13 we have the key of David because we know we are not tempted with the praise of men.( The world church system) leaning not on our understanding but the wisdom we have in Christ the root of Jesse.
