Brilliant! Thanks. I was looking for a super simple monks robe. I have entered the third phase of my life* (hermit) and want something for everyday wear. I found some fabric and just needed the pattern. I don't quiet understand the hood, but I will find a version of hood/hoodie that suits my needs. Blessings from Africa. Hinduism clearly states rhe 4 stages. I am 53 now and have been ready since just before lockdown. So I had 2 years indoors, but now need to circulate in public and wearing the robes of a renunciant is easier.

I made my open court green robe awhile back. I made it out of crushed velvet, and I had no idea what was doing, but it come out so nice. I added a hood, and then lined it. It as all hand sewn, as I didn't have a sewing machine back then. I made it out of my imagination, as UA-cam wasn't around back then. I loved that robe, but I did eventually let it go, so now I want to make another one for my meditation practice. I find wrapping myself with sheets a bit tricky to deal with. I now sew yet, I don't sew anything without some kind of plan and manic checking of everything many times, so it takes me forever to do anything with sewing. Ty for sharing your tips for making a robe.

This was great! I also wish the audio were a bit louder but I completely understand and I'm very grateful for the tutorial! I dig the respect of your child's own will and individuality too! Are you still making videos and still practicing?
