A very nice day at Rhyll today, with a visit from the Diamond Princess and the Motorcycle GP is on as well. It is all happening !

It rained in the afternoon, so I moved in doors to the HO Layout, so I didn’t get a ride on the 5 inch gauge railway. It was still a very enjoyable day.

I was there for the 50th anniversary open day. In the morning, the weather was very nice, but it started to rain after lunch unfortunately. There is a large HO layout indoors, while outside there is a garden railway and a 5 inch gauge ride on railway. The club put on a nice lunch for us, which was very much appreciated. They were very friendly mob.

Moore is where you turn off the highway, to go to Linville. We had lunch there and went for a stroll. You can stay here in the park but there is a bit of traffic noise. This is the last movie in this series of our winter holiday. We came up the Newell Highway and I didn’t start making movies until I reached Queensland. Next time I will start at the beginning, as there are many interesting place...

This is a very popular campground on the rail Trail. It is about 30 km off the main road and it feels very quickly on the weekends so I suggest you get here early if you want to stay overnight.

We are back in the Brisbane Valley and enjoying all the rail trails, a great place for a holiday ! I had a pie for lunch at Blackbutt. Enjoyed their rail museum in the park.

We stayed here on way up and on the way back. A very large area, away from the highway. We had visitors, a family of Guineafowl. A magpie swoop the guineafowl while I was filming, which certainly made it more interesting.

Container Train rattles through Sarina, Queensland. Two different gauges here, at this road crossing, good train spotting !

You can see the empty train leaving the mill. I did a bit of train spotting, while I was in Sarina !

How many cane trucks can You count. They are all going to the sugar mill, not far away !

We counted 40 ships off the coast waiting to be filled with coal. They are exporting Australia to the World !

I think this is the main port and I found it very interesting. As you could drive out to the end of the spit in your vehicle, it was still very windy here, we enjoyed our day trip from Serena.

Slade point for lunch. It was very windy. Mackay was as far north as we went, on our winter trip up north. We stayed with family at Serena and after a week we headed back home.
