I've gone to Lowes looking at the Craftsman V series ratches. I can't find any of their ratchets that don't have extreme back drag.

I'm still not grasping the Concept that we have to order tools and toolboxes. And like this has become a specialty thing where 20 years ago. There was entire storefronts dedicated to this sort of product. It would be in person that you could touch. Feel try before purchasing here. The customer has to blindly order this item and hope for the best. I mean. Look at how it shipped.It's not even protected this entire country and it's everything that we had going in a good way.Ended in the mid 2000s.That's it the world ended in two thousand twelve to see this product shipped like this to restore it to just baffles me

Cool. You can use an Ernst twist lock socket rail clip to retain the astro nano sockets in almost any 17mm box end. You do lose the pass thru action, but you can also use a piece of plastic bag to hold socket in place and still have pass thru.

The back drag on a new Craftsmen V-series rachet is a common criticism I hear in reference to these rachets.

I didn't have luck with the same swivels. Buy the Astros swivels they're almost the same price

That Extended reach ratchet is front heavy 2.65 lbs and not brushless. But at that price its a great deal i think for diy. For a pro or commercial use everyday probably not. But who knows

I wish my dad was handy and made me a toolbox!!! I just got a house and my dad didn’t even have a screwdriver to give me!!! Sigh, he recently had to ask me to borrow a hammer to put a new hole in his belt (he’s getting skinny now due to dialysis tx and health issues). It’s hard figured out what tools I need for around the house and to fix any of my landscape equipment

Always wondered how they hold up

I find that middle of the road price tools are the best way to go . Im not a mechanic as trade im a road construction inspector so not a lot of tool use at work for me but at home decent mid range price tools will last anybody a lifetime if they maintain them well.

MIXIO power is great DUratech is great. I have a ton of my old school SK USA stuff my dad handed down so im very fortunate im polishing up about 120 combo wrenches short , stubby long patern designs both metric and standard that my dad had i priced them all out for repurchase price today and ended up at $ 2900 worth of SK USA but i heard the SK professional series that looks and is marketed as USA SUperkrom is actually China made and people are pist when they buy them on amazon cause half a set says usa and the other says nothing.

I dont have any of the long mixi sets i only work on old school GM classic cars so never had a need for any universal joints but the shorts do make a lot of work really quick and easy.

I don’t think I would be to eager to buy V Series at full price but with these deep discounts going on they are fantastic ratchets for the price/value.

I used it twice this weekend....... once on the ICON tap and die set that was discounted from $140 to $100, then used the coupon to buy the tap and die set for $75. We were fishing in the Northwest Territories years ago now. And a few of the craftsman family members were in camp. I’ll just say, I will never own a tool with the craftsman name on it, no way.

Always get the two year warranty, these things are junk, I’ve been through 3 of them. Harbor freight has a lot of good stuff, but the jumper boxes are a fail.

So thank you for this video first off I bought the extended handle and regular length v-series ratchets at Lowe's for dirt cheap and you're right if you do soak them and 3 in 1 oil overnight it will seep into the gearing and really make that ratchet buttery smooth plus if you run it back and forth on a drill to break them in they get super smooth
