Alot of Stylists don't do this anymore. Especially reasoned stylists that have been doing hair fir years do not base rhe Scalp anymore they wonder why there relaxers didn't take or there client starts burning fast Base is a must when doing any tyoe of chemical whether its Bleach, Color, Relaxer or a Jehri Curl I base everytime

Because no one is using these irons anymore. But wait..... they will be back soon. Its an art and there is no iron like the marcel irons that make the hair behave the way that these irons do. In the early 90s this is what hair stylist did all day long.

Thanks for your question, the clients is Dominican so her regrowth is more of a wave, we relax her once a quarter. Her reasoning for relaxing is more for humidity and control. This service is call relaxer curl reduction.😊I hope this is help.

blewprent , Thanks for your question. It is not advised to apply chemical of any kind to irritated scalp. This can result in severe scalp damage. Aways reference manufacturers instructions.😊
@@AndreDwaineUniversityTV That was a nice, safe, PR answer that didnt answer my question. Lol. I went ahead and relaxed, but used a really thick base to keep the relaxer from touching my scalp. Worked like a charm.

Whether you’re in a salon or a suite that is classified as your work location. However you’re registered state name will travel with you wherever you decide to operate your business. But your salon license must reflect the location where you work. Hope I answer your question have a blessed one.
