Depeche Mode vs. Kraftwerk +++ People's Spacelab Is Good [Dizzyfugu's Mash-up]
Well, there has been some discussion that Depeche Mode's People Are Good from Memento Mori had a Kraftwerk-esque sound, but IMHO a simple sound sequence or riff is not enough. But what about a DM/Kraftwerk mash-up experiment that reflects this idea?
I have used Spacelab before for such a stunt, but I thought that the new lyrics were worth another try, just to add more of the special Kraftwerk sound and atmosphere. The instrumental part had to be re-edited quite extensively, and the vocals had to be sped up slightly. But the combo works quite well, though.
