Thanks for checking out Ken Brann Photography on UA-cam!
I'm an American photographer living in England who is into all things photography including landscapes, macro, drone, and underwater. I'm creating content for photography techniques as well as post-production work using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Luminar Neo, Photomatrix and I might mix in some Adobe Premiere. I have an underwater camera rig that I drop down into ocean sites to get underwater content. I also do drone videos of some spectacular locations.
If you are interested in working together or have a photography job that looks like it might be something I can help with, please feel free to email me at kenbrannphotography@gmail.com.
I would say photography in the UK and Europe is great. But the truth is photography is great everywhere. You just need to get out and do it. We are just capturing light and painting with it in post-production. So get up and grab your camera and go take some pics.

Underwater Video from the South Skyway Pier
Are those mangro stappers still at the skyway pier?
Has anyone ever free dived under there? It looked exciting before and now it looks like a toilet under there! 😞
Love the video!
Thanks for the love.
Great video :)
So cool grew up going there never knew it looked like that
Cool video. to me those look like permit, on a pompano the dorsal fin is forward of the anal fin. permit dorsal fin is in line with the anal fin
If you ate that tarpon raw it would be better than anything they serve at that disgusting 🤢 restaurant
Awesome to see how much life is flourishing under the skyway
Bathhouse on a south Florida fishing pier? Sounds likely a glory hole. 😮 Don't forget to bring your rod, Chad! Oh you know my pole is ready, Bruce.
Fishing is always wild there i love the current
Amazing Fish!!!
Wish I would have seen this BEFORE dropping my GoPro today under the South Skyway Bridge 😢
What happened? Hope you didn't lose your camera.
@@kenbrannphotography its gone line snapped.
@@OriginalBernieBro Sorry, that sucks. I've lost 2 cameras since 2017. Did you move it along the bottom or was it straight down and back up? I always feel I decrease my risk by just going down and back up. I also don't get too close the the pylons.
I love it down there, it is fantastic. I would like to live there.
This is fantastic.
Snorkeled that entire area back in the late 80's. Great video!
What's that big shadow and fins floating above?
Looks like a tarpon going by.
Is it possible to do something where you have the sky as a time lapse but the foreground at normal speed?
It would be. I'll have to try that. Just put the video in twice and mask the bottom with the lower speed video.
Beautiful video
I appreciate the comment.
What causes the noise that sounds like bacon frying
I've been told it is shrimp. I've looked at other ideas but that is the one that seems most likely.
Drop your go pro down around the protective bumpers, there's Grouper down there.
Every now and then you'll see the splash from a human Tarpon☠
Quite a few are seen every year
So many fish in the background. What are they?
What is the crazy fish after?
😕 *Promo sm*
Beautiful, peaceful place. So many original features in the old manor.
does this video come in the shorter, more interesring version?
Nice video like all the different fish
Thanks for watching
I really enjoy your videos. Great quality aswell
Fantastic as always my friend.
When they clean the fish from the 1/2 day trips in Marathon, the fish which gather to feed on the scraps thrown off the dock are larger than the fish caught on the boats. Big jacks, cobia, snappers, sharks, groupers, etc. Fishing is not allowed off the dock though.
Nice video cool fish
Thanks for the comment.
Ken…I want to thank you for these videos. Like I said, I grew up in St. Petersburg from 1978 to 1987 until I joined the Army (Panama Invasion and Desert Storm Veteran). My home in St. Pete was right on the water and I would drop my 20ft Boston Whaler into canal and go fishing from Howard Franklin bridge all the way out to Egmont Key. Those were the best days of my life and these videos bring back great memories……Thank You. Now I live in MO and do a lot of crappie, catfish, and bass fishing in the Lake of the Ozarks, but come to my home town of St Pete about twice a year…..again Thank You
Thanks for the comment. Love the St Pete area. It has so much to do. I normally fish the Skyway or up in Tarpon Springs. Sometimes down in Fort Desoto Park. Thanks again for the comment.
Love your videos my friend.
I really appreciate the comment.
How deep is it at high tide and low tide Ken?
Good question. I think the average depth of the end of the south pier is about 20 feet. Tides can be anywhere from 3 feet or less I think. So I would assume the depth could range from about 18.5 feet to about 21.5 feet. The north pier is about 30 feet at the end with the same fluctuations. This is for normal tides. Storms will increase these variables.
@@kenbrannphotography Thank you Ken. I was guessing You'd have that knowledge and very informative channel indeed. I first fished in Hawaii at age 9-11 catching 2-3 foot hammerheads with just a rope that had a hook & sinker attached. I'd tossed it out like a real Texan should and brought them in bare handed. I lived & fished the OBX & Cape Hatteras 7+ years. And now here I am retired & disabled in Florida and Skyway Pier is my 1st destination Sir. Living on the Eastern shores and Chesapeake Bay I am familiar with the fish species migration seasons. Suggest me where that data might be located so I won't pack the wrong gear etc and can spool my reels accordingly? I'm very grateful for anything You can share such as, your fave bodies of water that's productive~! <*}}}}}><
@@davetrent8612 You'll find good spots all over the area. Even in some of the most unlikely locations. I really like the South Skyway pier. I also flyfish in Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs for Red Fish and Trout. And if it's stormy I like Fort Desoto Park. As far as references, I use a Kindle version of Marine Fishes of Florida by David B. Snyder and George H. Burgess. I am sure there are others but I find this to be very complete. The Florida Fish and Game site is also very good. And the Skyway Proboards are indispensable. skywaypiers.proboards.com/
Grew up in St. Pete from 1978 to 1987 (graduated from Northeast High School in 1987). Did a lot of fishing around the skyway bridge, even after that terrible bridge collapse in 1980, best time of my life. I lived in Shore Acres area on the water, I left for the Army in Aug of 1987 and my parents moved to IL in 1988. I miss that area terribly….I live in MO now.
I grew up in Tarpon Springs and graduated from Tarpon Springs HS in 1988. Sounds like we lived a parallel life. I still work for the military but I go back as often as I can.
Puffer fish are cool.
Sweet❤
Love it! You film I fish!😁
Such a beautiful world.
I catch those all the time, cool video Ken
Do you ever eat them? I think they dry them in Asia. They don't look like they'd have much meat.
@@kenbrannphotography no I’ve never eaten them
So much life. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
Anyone reading this please accept the Lord Jesus Christ and repent he is coming soon as you could see what's happening around the world God loves you
Thanks Ken. I started few workflows but your guidance was more articulated.
Nice video, thanks for making it. I enjoyed seeing whats under the water at Ft. DeSoto, though this bridge is one spot I haven't been to. Wonder how it looks off the small Bay pier they just reopened in the park next to the dog beach. Thx again!
Glad you enjoyed it. I'll have to go check the piers out again. When I've been out before it was hard to see due to the sand being kicked around in the tide. Need to hit it at slack tide.
Its so cool to get a look under the surface, thanks again!@@kenbrannphotography
Can't seem to find the area you are talking about looking at the map. Will be going there in a few weeks. I know around the Gulf side by the pier there is snorkeling but would like to find this bridge you are talking about.
@@ndzimmer I believe you have to turn down a service road to get to this small bridge. When coming into the park take a left at THE flag and them take the next left as well. The small little overpass is where I think he got this footage.
where is this at?
This was off the bridge that is on Key Royale Road.
Yeah I don't see the bonnethead shark... what time point is it in the video?
It's at 4:32
Nice video. saw the sheepshead but missed the Bonnethead!!
❤
Hope a grouper ate him right after he went off the screen.
I thought I would see TONS of Pinfish. I'm really surprise to see such a large number of Sheepsheads down there. Thanks for the video, pretty cool.
There are usually pinfish about. Just depends on which bridge pylon you're near. Sheepshead are pretty ubiquitous in Tampa Bay and surrounding areas. They are almost everywhere where you find structure. Not that they are always there. But if you see any fish it is almost guaranteed some of those will be sheepshead.
@@kenbrannphotography That's great to know, thanks for your insight.
