Woah he’s actually good
Brain free would analhate Tyler swift in a comptition
Not to make him look good or anything … but James Canupp wore him out.
That is not James canupp for y'all wondering. Totally different dude. Watch the actual video of James canupp, he's way shorter than this guy. This guy is taller and sounds way different.
James cannup si mejoro bastante hasta me gusta mas su voz que de brian free 😅
Very nice but it lacks the Sturm und Drang of the original, in which the accompanist is clearly trying to inflict damage on the "singer."
Better than any halftime show these days..
James is a far better singer than that Tyler Swift I see all the time.
James Canupp's rendition of this song has almost a million views. Just sayin'.
Fun Song!!!👀
Is that James Canupp or not???
don't think so, the guy in the video is taller and slimmer
@@irenehillier9444 and can actually hold notes and has timing 😂
The guy in the dark suit sure likes fondling the guy with the blond hair.😂
Sorry to burst everyone’s bubbles… this highly talented young man is not James Cannup. 😂
😂😂 Good job Kirk!
Are you sure ? 😂🤪
@choff1184 pretty sure, look and compare the physiques - The man in the video is taller and more muscular looking than James. James wears glasses, this guy doesn't
Good, but it’s no James Canupp
Idiots
Hillbillies
Barf
Brain Free doesn’t look worn out yet
James Canupp destroys these guys. Brian Free is a Canupp wannabe! Team Canupp ⛪
I’m so sad James didn’t take a drink of water during this performance 😢
It's not James, the man in the video is taller and has a fuller head of hair which is lighter than James'. And most of all, he can sing in tune.
Can we give it up for the drummer!
ok I gave him some
So this explains how he was able to sing so skillfully in the other video.
This is not James Canupp, for many reasons
Doesn’t hold a light to James cannup
I'm not trying to make James Canupp look good but he wore them out
Alright, even though James is straining a lot here, this is a whole other person singing this song in comparison to his last, uh... interpretation. I thought for years that he always made up that whole singing with Brian Free thing.
This isn’t the same James Canupp. I assure you, he was completely serious.
1:57 somebody thinks this is so funny 😂
Is that actually James Canupp?
Yep… the same performance he refers to at the start of his own erm unique interpretation!
@@WoW_TV You mean the guy in white pants is james Canupp? How is that possible? That guy does not sound like James Canupp. Watch the other video of James singing by himself and you'll see the difference!
@@nathanargos4490 oh yes - know that video VERY well. 😂… I believed this was the video that he refers to at some length before his infamous solo performance where he talks about the song making him “kind of famous” or words to that effect… and also refers to how he gave the REAL singer in this video a good run for his money (again paraphrasing). “James” is - shall we say - a few pounds lighter in this video and so looks a bit different, and would also be fitter and more likely to be able to sustain a better level of performance when singing I’d suggest. The main difference though in the marked levels of singing abilities between the two clips… the fact that James Canupp in that subsequent more famous performance was basically trying to sing a crazy ascending key song battle with no moment of respite all by himself for some unknown (though hugely unintentionally entertaining) reason!! EDIT: There are other reasons that might explain how these two diverse performances could be from the one and the same legend that is James Canupp, such as the tempo of the “Worst Church Singer” video being all over the place and generally around 10BPM higher than the steady 130BPM of the backing track here; the starting pitch of the guest singer here being a more comfortable A4 with a relaxed entry as opposed to the higher C4-ish stretch of the viral video and it all snowballing from there (having wasted a minute’s energy building his own hype and with that confusing song pick-up from the piano intro) - all making it difficult to compare and hear any similarity, with an awkward associated listening experience resulting. Even the respective singing postures… standing and singing from the chest as opposed to slumped on a stool and forced to sing more through the nose….. That all said though… on reflection James Canupp’s performance in “Worst Church Singer” really is unparalleled and this other guy most likely is but a pale imitation of the genuine article, and I have revised my opinion, it indeed surely can’t be possible to link the two! 😂 (BTW - have you checked out the dance remix on Soundcloud of the “original”!!?)
@@WoW_TV haha no I have not seen the dance remix. When James sang looking for a city in that original worst Church singer ever video, that was actually from a performance with a series of different songs he sang. He sang quite a few songs in that performance, many of them were not at such a high key, but he did a terrible job on all of them equally, LOL , he has absolutely no ear, which makes me think the guy in this video really isn't him. I will send an example

'Brain Free'
Most certainly is
Sound about alike ...lol...
James actually could sing this!!!! WOW IM IMPEESSED
Wait, that's the same guy?!?!
That ain’t him. James cannot sing. This guy can.
So THAT'S how it's supposed to sound.
James Canupp could wear out these guys. This song has made him pretty famous the last couple years.
Lmfao
🤣
halffulltome, NO ONE can beat Brian Free. He's the Best at Singing Looking For a City!
Lol
That song took him so many places...he toured the world, selling out venue after venue...
When that guy hit falsetto...whew!
AMEN !!!
WOW !!!! What a beautiful version of this wonderful Statler Hymm !!!! Great job Beth !!!
Sorry bu you sing really off key? Ouch! Ouch! Why most the congergation endure this sort of torture? Try singing in a choir.
