There was no chemistry between Charlotte and Colbourne. He abused his position, then, treated her badly, in S2. In S3, he showed no friendship towards Georgians but used her need for a solicitor (and the brother he hadn't spoken to in 10yrs) to wheedle his way back into her affections! After so long on her own, and thinking herself, now, better than Ralph (and Willingden), she married an older, wealthier man, than Sidney! Who does that sound like?? I think she cared more for Colbourne's wards, than she did for him! He was, also, her only alternative to Ralph! Suddenly, Sidney is cast as a villain! Even his family have forgotten him!

She should've responded I don't think of you at all. I have never seen a young woman so verbally abused he blamed her for Georgiana's kidnapping she was not her Guardian. I am happy he was taken away as her love interest. Even though he left. Good! No more abuse from him.

Sidney's actions made me realize he didn't know how to truly love. Esther warned her and so did Arthur and Georgiana. He was a bad boy, smoking drinking and visiting whore houses. That's not what anyone wants for their daughter's first love.😢

In my opinion, Sanditon Season 1, was Theo James's best work. His other work was not of the same caliber as this. It was a very bad decision not to finish this, so it could become a Classic better than Pride and Predjudice. Time Traveler's Wife is rubbish. He disappointed a lot of female viewers.

When Theo James is free, they should make a series about the life and death of Sydney Parker. It could be titled 'The Outlier'. We never found out what he did, in Antigua, or how/why Georgiana's father saved his life! We never found out how his marriage to Eliza worked out, or if he got over Charlotte. We never found out if he had children! If he did still love Charlotte, then, why did he not leave a letter for her, when he was dying?

Season 3 needs a better love interest for Charlotte. Season 2 was crushingly disappointing.

And then Colbourne happens …he has literally been right next door all the time …….he is so much better, much better match for Charlotte……let’s hope in season 3

Je ne peux me résoudre à la mort de Sidney. J'imagine un épisode dans lequel il nous revient, car il a craint pour l'héritage de sa pupille, est parti pour découvrir l'imposteur, a imaginé son décès, pour mieux l'attraper

Tous les acteurs de la première série jouent formidablement bien . Les prises de vues sont excellentes. Les dialogues aussi. J'ai appris un mot rédimer. J'ai raté le premier épisode. J'ai hâte d'acheter le DVD.

I found Sanditon on PBS not that long ago and I have never been so captured by a love story as Charlotte & Sydney’s. Charlotte is wise beyond years, Sydney experienced, but the love & admiration & spunk between them is wonderful! These images & the choice of music is so inspired & lovely!!💔🌹❤️🌷🥰Thank you!
