I got to see Sparta like a month after this in San Diego the day before my 31st bday. went with my dad. such a great show. they closed with this song ("Atlas"). same deal at the end, Jim steps away from the mic & just shouts to the crowd. we saw them in a tiny dive bar, playing to maybe 200 people. such an intimate setting, seeing an ending like this was mind blowing honestly. ever so slightly off key, slightly out of tune, the imperfections. THAT is rock'n'roll! had such a blast. getting to share that with my pops, who gave me my love of music (& bought me my first Sparta record way back when) was a pretty great. and though i'm grateful to have seen them in such an intimate setting (& as a guitar player, getting to snag Jim's pick after the show - let the inspiration come on!), them ending their show like this... this was an ending to a show that deserved a stadium size crowd. I suspect Sparta's best work & true time to shine is yet to come! cheers for uploading this, my guy!
