So taking a look at them side by side, I'm more inclined to go with Hero Forge. They've been evolving more into the more detailed, optional stuff that elevates models beyond what they used to be. There are techniques to have more realistic proportions and Kitbashing will be coming out soon to elevate things even further. As for Eldritch Foundry, I've only just gotten a first impression, but I will say I'm not a big fan of the options for customizing faces and body features as well as the art style in general. It isn't really selling a more realistic vibe like I was expecting. Although, I will give Eldritch Foundry points over Hero Forge for 3 places. The dynamic weapons thing you showed looks awesome. Arm clothing doesn't thicken up ridiculously over upper garments like Hero Forge. And pants on models with animalistic legs go all the way down to the ankles rather than stopping just below the knees. I do with Hero Forge would do these types of things.

Love the animated paint style. Modelling the base with the fallen tree trunk really compliments the character. Out of curiosity, may I ask what the miniature is called and what company makes it? Keen to paint one myself. :)

You should've led with the fact that you have discount codes for EF. This is a biased review, which is fine as long as you're upfront and open about that information, but it's not immediately obvious.

I came across both companies after thinking of doing a resin diorama of my old lady and her families original characters from their campaigns as kids. Unfortunately its kind of a pain to get realistic actions poses on Hero Forge while its just down right miserable with Eldritch Foundry but from what ive seen both do incredible work. Neither do monsters like Dragons (so far as I've found) so its a bit of a bummer there. I started with Hero Forge with an Owl Hous inspired mini for my daughter to teach her her to paint. I'm just expecting good things from the quality but less so in teaching her to paint.

How long does eldritch foundary take to ship?

I absolutely cannot stand printing Eldritch figures, I guess they are fine if you pay the higher prices and have them send them to you, but as a 3D printer I do not like the models, the geometries have issues at times too, although don't get me wrong, they are way better than Hero Forge. The moving chain is neat, but a pain to paint.

Love the custom comic painting style you gave those miniatures!

Hero Forge has made strides in its comic-exclusive look. The comic-like anatomy and features are present, but now, there are multitudes of ways to create a more realistic look. Hero Forge has many more printing options, including metals, and also has far more customization, in not only dozens upon dozens of species, but also clothes, proportions, anatomy, facial features, and poses.

I much prefer Eldritch Foundry to Hero Forge just due to the pricing. But I really feel like you hit all the pros and cons to both. I just wish Eldritch had more options.

I'm sure this is a fascinating video but I'm too distracted by the fact this person sounds exactly like the voice actor for Sora from Digimon (also Wasp in Avengers, and Tails in Sonic) - Colleen Ann O'Shaughnessey.

I love the way you painted the black lines on these figures. It reminds me both of comic books and games like Borderlands that use that style of shading.

ty so much. i had no idea about eldritch foundry, heroforge seems a bit pricy for the 3D files and I didn't like the cartoony look of them too much for certain minis but this was a great video

I've been checking out random reviews on Hero Forge and found your video. I love your style. It reminds me of a Cel Shaded video game character. You are incredibly talented. To an extent, its reminds me of some of the work my cousin does with Gundam Models but on a much smaller scale. Thanks for the review and keep up the great work!
