Love the pipes, always did, even before I found out about Murdo my Great Grandfather , Pipe Major Scotts Guards, RIP France 1916 I know what the lady means about new year for the Scott’s I have a photo of my Grandfather George who was in the Cameronians, the photo is of all the sergeants from the 5th , on New Year’s Eve 1914, they were told beer only no whisky their CO! I bet they had a good time that night! They are wearing goat skin jackets to keep warm and holding their rifles.

I grew up fishing on the river otter in Budleigh Salterton. I'm 56 now and I watch these two and they still have that boyhood joy at catching a fish. I hope I never lose that joy when I fish. My partner loves watching this program . I'm a happy man.

I would love this show if they weren't trying to say that fishing is for everyone. Its OBVIOUSLY not, only a TV show with celebs can pay for 2 people to fish in such spots freely like that's always how it is for every wannabe fisherman. NOPE even In my wildest dreams I'll nvr be able to fish those locations. Even in the old pastimes our society has managed to snatch away even the most basic old fashioned working and pastimes, and make them a 2,3 tiered pastime. Kids cant go fishing on rivers anymore, they need, licences, day tickets, I insurance and indead most times even having g all the above wont mean you get to fish said spot, only the elite and celebs because of tv shows, get to fish rivers that 95% of the year, are closed off just the crown, international diplomatic dignitaries and film, tv celebs. Those rivers are everyone's so explain to me how it's fair that only wealthy people get to fish such rivers?
