A very warm welcome to my world of paragliding. This is all about the best hobby in the world and I am certain that for some it is even more than that. Paragliding is addictive and I am hooked. I try to go flying whenever possible. And I like filming it too, because I want to share it with as many people as possible.

[FULL FLIGHT] Paragliding Knobelsdorf - Calm flight with the Nova Codex
After hours of waiting, the wind finally kicked in and not only that, but also from the right direction. A good opportunity for a first impression of the test glider, which I got thanks to Stephan and the Hochries flying school. www.flugschule-hochries.de/
All in all, it was a 1 hour 45 minute flight. Everything went very well, but I have to admit that the conditions were very calm. I don't know yet how the glider will behave in more demanding conditions and I don't know how much I will like it. I am certain, I'll find out.

Together with Stephan I hiked up to the summit of the Jenzig. There was not much time to waste, since the wind direction would soon turn to north and it would die later on. In the end it was a 15 minutes flight. Happy Landings Thomas

One plan I had for 2024 was to visit Sven, a friend I fly with quite often. The forecast said that the wind would increase from moderate to not flyable during the day. We where there quite early in the day. After accidentally cutting one of the lines (there was a Razor-sharp stone, which I did not see), I thought that this would be already the end of this fly day. It was my first flight of the day. Thermals were a bit tight but it was fun flying with friends. This flight was app. 45 mins. The flight after this one was 3 hours 31 minutes. It was epic. Timing was key. Happy Landings, Thomas

It was one of the few times I was able to see myself. Many thanks go to @aircursion3540 for the footage. Both our cameras died at some point thats why it is only a couple of minutes. After waiting for more than an hour, the conditions improved and we could fly for half an hour. It as quite a remarkable and enjoyable flight with good friends. Checkout the video from Aircursion and subscribe to his channel. @aircursion3540 Happy Landings

Fly from the first out of three start spots (in a given order), land at the right landing zone and hike the the next start spot and repeat. The task is not to fly as closed as possible the the next spot but to fly at all land properly and hike. Also it is not a matter of speed. You wont win anything being faster than anybody else nor being the first one of a season. Happy Landings

@@aircursion3540 Ralf hatte auch ein paar Ideen, was man sonst noch so machen könnte. :-)
Anhand der Freunde die Dich auf Burnair beobachtet haben, siehst du das du nicht allein bist im Notfall. Zwischen wenig und viel Wind war wieder mal nur ein kleines Zeitfenster. Deine Vorflieger hatten mit einem grösseren Zeitfenster spekuliert.😉 Sehr schöner Flug trotz der Windverhältnisse.
Wer weiss wann ich gestartet wäre ohne Euch. Bestimmt aber zum falschen Zeitpunkt. ;-)

Sehr schöne Aufnahmen. Es hat einfach alles gepasst. Die Lichtverhältnisse waren auch perfekt. Dadurch hatten wir sehr gutes und brauchbares Videomaterial. Daraus muss man einfach was machen. 😊 Ich hoffe es dauert nicht wieder 2 Jahre bis wir die nächste Session haben. ✌️🪂

Am Samstag ging es ab Mittag aber am Nachmittag war dann eine Flaute. Später war ich nochmal 50 Minuten soaren.

Guten Tag, Ich komme auch aus der Region und bin oft in Wichmar. Ich habe da aber leider noch keine anderen Piloten getroffen. Wann wart ihr dort bzw. gibt es Termine um sich dort zu treffen? LG
Hi, wir waren am Sonntag da. Wenn es am Jenzig zu windig ist kann man jemand hier treffen. Es gibt keine festen Zeiten oder Termine.
Wenn es weiter so feucht bleibt, kann man bald ein Sicherheitstraining über dem Tal veranstalten. 😉🪂✌️
